The lifecycle steps can be summarized as follows: - Add (create) the Schedule. - Specify the Schedule Scope (this is the Equipment for which the Schedule is being created). - Enter the Plancodes. - Add applicable Attachments. - Final **Approve** the Schedule (Plan Codes, timing, Narrative should be clear). - Perform the PLSS work / inspection. - Credit the Schedule in the Equipment Condition History (ECH). - Final **Approve** the ECH (all actions that had to be performed must be completed and correct). - The current Schedule then becomes inactive. If recurring, a new Inspection Schedule is created automatically (NID=LID+User Interval). ## ## Recurring Schedules Inspection Schedules (except for CAIR) can be set to be Recurring (see figure below). ![A screenshot of a cell phone Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/plss-scehdule-liefcycle-image1.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T22%3A57%3A00Z&se=2026-10-28T23%3A57%3A00Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=KhJFJRJH4gWnttfnXUVZ4F1QgUiovIwupnIFjXVoXmM%3D) The Next Inspection Date (NID) will then be equal to the Last Inspection Date (LID) plus the User Interval. The figure below illustrates how a recurring Schedule’s lifecycle will look. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/PLSS%20Schedule%20and%20ECH%20workflows.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T22%3A57%3A00Z&se=2026-10-28T23%3A57%3A00Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=KhJFJRJH4gWnttfnXUVZ4F1QgUiovIwupnIFjXVoXmM%3D)The lifecycle of a recurring Schedule.
