For Equipment groups Pipe and Pipe System, a Circuit or (recurring) Inspection Schedule can be identified as one of the following:
- Injection Points (IP)
- Corrosive Deadlegs (DL)
- Unstable Deadlegs (Unstable)
- Soil to Air
The classification chosen determines the risk based Maximum Inspection Interval (MII) allowed for the Calculation Summary (and Corrosion Schedule) or Inspection Schedule. (See Assigning Special Emphasis to a Circuit or Inspection Schedule.)
A Special Emphasis thus provides a way to designate a risk based Maximum Inspection Interval (MII) for a corrosion Circuit or an Inspection Schedule.
(The aim of Special Emphasis was to configure the MII for specific Special Emphasis Equipment as such that it meets the specific site requirements. The Special Emphasis can be configured differently for each site.)
