# TAT - Overview

This online manual explains:

How to interpret and use the Turnaround Technologist (TAT) module in IMS.

Technologist scope, encountered during Turnarounds, applies mainly to 3 main types of Equipment: Columns, Vessels & Reactors, and Heat Exchangers.

## How TAT can help

IMS TAT can help you in the following ways:

- Provide you with an **overview of Turnaround findings and scopes** by:
  - Tracking all Planned Events
  - Recording Turnaround scopes
  - Capturing findings of Equipment
  - Generating Discovery Work proposals
- **Guide you during TA inspection** and enable you to **view previous inspection results**.
- Enable you to **scope future TA activities**. The tool captures (contains) data/results of previous findings in a structured manner for multiple sites.
- **Systemize** **your tasks** during a TA. There are rigorous checklists for all levels of experience.
- Enable you to **trigger Discovery Work** during a TA by quickly generating required documents with attached findings.
- Facilitate **report writing** post a TA and prepare the TA+1 recommendations and scoping.

## The Intent of TAT

The intent of IMS TAT is to:

- Reduce TA cost:
  - Improved mobility
  - Increased efficiency
- Increase reliability:
  - Reduce Unplanned Downtime (UPDT) post TA
- Aid technologist during TA:
  - Standardized digital checklists
  - Access to previous findings
- Systematic and consistent data capture:
  - IMS is used for both inspections and automatic data storage
  - Reuse findings as input for TA scoping activities

IMS TAT integrates several tools, such as:

- Equipment location and specification
- Attaching relevant documentation
- Photo annotations and drawings integration
- Approval statuses
- Inspection checklists
- Dashboards and board overview for status tracking
- Quick bulk imports for Turnaround scopes
- Tablet ready
