This online manual explains the 3D Observation module:
How to navigate the 3D Observation Main Screen, including the 3D Model and tabbed Observation project interface.
The 3D Observation Review process, including the creation of ECHs and CAIRs.
The 3D Observation module enables you, the AIR Inspector (see AIR3D User Roles), to easily review the findings of the Observation Scan process, and to create ECHs and CAIRs for those any identified integrity issues (OB-Items or Observation Items).

Observation Item relationship to the IMS Hierarchy
During the Machine Vision process:
Integrity Issues, i.e., OB-Items, are detected.
The OB-Items are then mapped to positions on 3D model and to specific (intersecting) Equipment (by aligning the Point Clouds with 3D model).
Multiple OB-Items can be related to one Equipment ID.

OB-Items are mapped to positions on 3D models and to intersecting Equipment.
It is your job, as the Remote Inspector, to these OB-Items to make sure mapped to the correct Equipment and that the correct Issue API Classes were identified. When this is done you need to add the OB-Items to Equipment Condition Histories (ECHs) and indicate if Corrective Actions (CAIRs) are needed.

The mapping of OB-Items to the Equipment should be reviewed together with Issue API Classes. Then they must be added to ECHs, and in some cases to CAIRs.
