# Adding Images to Dynamic Forms

To add an image to your Form you need to [add a Field](/v414/docs/adding-data-fields-to-dynamic-forms), then [create a Template](/v414/docs/adding-data-templates-to-dynamic-forms) with Control Type "Image", and then add this Template to your Field. Then any image can be added in the Field's attachment area.

To add an image to a Form:

- [Add a Field](/v414/docs/adding-data-fields-to-dynamic-forms) to your Form.
- For the Control Type select "Image".
- Click **Save**.
- Add a Template:
  - Click **+ Template**. (See also [Defining Templates](/v414/docs/adding-data-templates-to-dynamic-forms).)
  - Enter a Caption.
  - For the Control Type select "Image".
  - Click **Save**.
- Now, back in your Field properties, selected a Template - this must be your newly defined "Image" Template.
- An attachment area will become available.
- Add your image in the attachment area.
- You can edit your image further if you want - see [](/v414/docs/ims-details-page-options)[IMS Details Page - Attachment Section](/v414/docs/ims-details-page-options#attachments-section).
- Click **Save** when done.

ImportantBe careful when changing images of predefined Templates, when other Checklists will be impacted. Rather [defining a new Template](/v414/docs/adding-data-templates-to-dynamic-forms) with Control Type "Image" as explained above.
