# Advanced EVA settings

Advanced users can change some of the EVA calculation settings:

- Click on the *Settings button*, next to the *Calculate* button on the top of the [EVA page](/v414/docs/doing-an-eva).
- Click **Edit** to change any of the following:
  - Return level smoothness (10-200, default = 40).
  - Probability density smoothness (10-200, default = 100).
  - Default amount of evaluation points (10-200, default = 20).
  - Convergence criterion (default = 50%).
  - Percent step (default = 10%).
  - Warning step (yes (checked) or no, default = yes).
  - Confidence interval (default = 99%).
- Click **Save** when done.
- This should trigger EVA to recalculate.
- Click the *Settings* button again to close the Settings window.
- A warning will appear in the [Calc Summary](/v414/docs/implementing-eva-results) if the new EVA results differ from the EVA results included in the Calc Summary.
- Recalculate the [Calc Summary](/v414/docs/implementing-eva-results) to use the new EVA results.
