# Approving Planned Events 

Planned Events (e.g. Next Opportunity, Pit Stop, Turnaround, Statutory Inspection, RBI Re-assessment) are registered on each processing Plant or Unit. The Planned Events can be found in [Planned Events Main Menu](/v414/docs/ims-planned-events), as well as on Plant and Unit Level in [Settings\Company\Toplevel](/v414/docs/configuring-the-toplevel-via-settings). Planned Events have an Event Date and can be assigned to Schedules. Once assigned, a Planned Event can impact the Next Inspection Date of a Schedule and therefor have to be final Approved.

You can also see the Approval Status on the [Planned Events Details Page](/v414/docs/ims-planned-events).

In Settings: Click on the *Edit* button of the Planned Event, to show the actual status and applicable data of the Event.

Click on the *Approval* button to show the approval data for this specific event.

Once a new Planned Event or an existing Planned Event is modified and Final Approved:

- The Status will change to "Final Approved".
- If an existing Planned Event was edited and when this is linked to Schedules, the Event date for these Schedules will also be updated and "Admin Final Approved".
