# CAPS2025 Common Data Overview

The characteristic of the CAPS2025 database is a large amount of referential data. Referential data can be described as data that is (or can be) related to more than one entity. For example, a Class Note or a Component can be part of one or more Piping Classes, i.e., several Piping Classes refer to the same Class Note or Component.

The CAPS2025 Common Data is defined in Settings \ Maintenances \ Common data.

Click on **Settings** in the Main header. A side panel will open, showing the available CAPS2025 settings.
