Schedules are defined in terms of: - The WHEN - the NID (Next Inspection Date) - for FM Schedules the NID will normally be a [horserace](/v414/docs/next-inspection-date-nid-horserace) between the User Date and the Event DateĀ (Schedules can be [linked to Planned Events](/v414/docs/tying-fma-schedules-to-upcoming-events)); and - The WHAT - the Scope, i.e., the Equipment on which the FM work is to be performed, together with the work that is to be performed (for CAIRs this is specified in the FM Checklist). You need to check which Schedules are due (having a [NID](/v414/docs/next-inspection-date-nid-horserace) close to Today), then performs the work according to the Scope, captures the results, and credit the Schedule(s) in the [Equipment Condition History (ECH)](/v414/docs/fma-ech). Thereafter a new Schedules can be created (CAIRs are not recurring, but Inspections can be set to be recurring).
