# RCM Equipment Condition Histories (ECHs)

RCM Equipment Condition Histories (ECHs) are aligned with the IMS ECHs, as explained in [IMS Condition Histories (ECHs) across Disciplines](/v414/docs/ims-condition-histories-echs-across-discipline). This article covers what is specific to ECHs in the RCM discipline.

By default, the [ECH Main Screen](/v414/docs/ech-main-screen) shows only ECHs from RCM-related [Disciplines](/v414/docs/ims-schedules-and-echs-across-discipline) (Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical Rotating, NRB, and RCM). It is possible to use the filter to show ECHs from other Disciplines.

> 
> You can [create](/v414/docs/step-a-creating-echs) RCM ECHs at the FLOC or Equipment level. When you create an ECH in RCM, you can only assign it to RCM-related disciplines.
