See also [](/v414/docs/methodology-step-2)[](/v414/docs/methodology-step-5)[](/v414/docs/methodology-step-6)[](/v414/docs/methodology-step-7)[](/v414/docs/methodology-step-8)[](/v414/docs/methodology-step-9)[](/v414/docs/methodology-step-10)[Methodology Step 11](/v414/docs/methodology-step-11). ## Review the Results – IF, MII, NID, IS (and RBI Status) To review the results: - Refer to the S-RBI Analysis header, to see a summary of the results: IF, MII, NID, IS. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/software-step-11-image-mkgufwc8.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T12%3A45%3A00Z&se=2026-10-28T13%3A45%3A00Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=xCWvrJT8JXn5C2l4aiHBTd%2Fpgh98bqAmsqU%2FY1NudTo%3D)The S-RBI results are shown in the S-RBI Analysis header, as well as on the **NID** tab. - Click the **NID** tab. - Review the Next Inspection Date (NID) calculation inputs: - The Last Inspection Date (LID), is based on the Inspection History (specific for that particular DM). See [Step 4](/v414/docs/step-4-determine-the-most-credible-failure-scenario-1). - The Maximum Inspection Interval (MII = IF x RL). - When Lining/Coating has been taken credit for, you will see MII Lining / MII Coating. See [](/v414/docs/step-6-estimate-remaining-functional-life-ar-dms-and-cui-1)[Step 6](/v414/docs/step-6-estimate-remaining-functional-life-ar-dms-and-cui-1). This value will increase the NID. - NID Ultimate = LID + MII + MII Lining. - The Last Legal Inspection Date (LLID), is also based on the Inspection History (but not DM specific). - A Legal/local interval, based on jurisdiction regulations, is entered on the **Remnant Life** tab. See [Step 6](/v414/docs/step-6-estimate-remaining-functional-life-ar-dms-and-cui-1). - The Next Legal Inspection Date (NLID = LLID + Legal/local interval). - For the NID, RBI will use the shorter of the two dates: NLID and NID Ultimate. - Review the Inspection Strategy (IS). - Refer to [Guidance per Special Emphasis](/v414/docs/special-emphasis-components) and [Guidance per DM](/v414/docs/guidance-per-degradation-mechanism-implementation-and-interpretation) for guidance on the interpretation of the results. See [Methodology Step 11](/v414/docs/methodology-step-11) for the summary table of the references. - Notice the RBI Status: “Analysis completed, not implemented” or, “Analysis completed, implemented” for AR DMs. Where the Circuit is set to inherit the Interval Factor (IF) from the Component (see [Risk Based Inspection (RBI) - Theory](/v414/docs/risk-based-inspection-rbi-theory) and [Step 12](/v414/docs/step-12-assign-s-rbi-results-to-inspectioncorrosion-schedules-andor-update-monitoring-plan)). Note: The figure shows the automatic S-RBI Analysis status indication, in relation to the [Degradation Management Steps](/v414/docs/step-1-define-the-asset). - If desired, click **Edit** to manually change the RBI Status. Remember to add a Reason for the status change. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/software-step-11-image-aob08bst.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T12%3A45%3A00Z&se=2026-10-28T13%3A45%3A00Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=xCWvrJT8JXn5C2l4aiHBTd%2Fpgh98bqAmsqU%2FY1NudTo%3D)The S-RBI status indication in relation to the Degradation Management Steps.  ## Do a Sensitivity Analysis If desired, you can also do a Sensitivity (what if) analysis. This is only applicable to AR DMs. To do a Sensitivity analysis: - Click the **Sensitivity** tab. ![Graphical user interface, application Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/software-step-11-image-a9jqpoh7.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T12%3A45%3A00Z&se=2026-10-28T13%3A45%3A00Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=xCWvrJT8JXn5C2l4aiHBTd%2Fpgh98bqAmsqU%2FY1NudTo%3D)Use Sensitivity tab to analysis the sensitivity of the S-RBI results to different parameters. - Change different parameters to see how the NID (and Inspection Effectiveness) is affected. - Use this information to identify the parameters to which the NID is sensitive. - If desired, gather more data to update uncertain data for the identified parameters on the **RL** / **Criticality** / **Confidence** tabs. ## Determine the Inspection Effectiveness To calculate the required Inspection Effectiveness (for AR DMs): - Take note of the IF, shown in the header. - Take note of the RL, on the **Remnant Life** tab. - Add the Lining/Coating RL, on the **Lining/Coating** tab, if applicable. - Use the table in [Risk Based Inspection (RBI) - Theory](/v414/docs/risk-based-inspection-rbi-theory) to lookup the Required Inspection Effectiveness. - For General Thinning, use the table in [Methodology Step 11](/v414/docs/methodology-step-11) to determine the required combination of Inspection technique and coverage, for the Required Inspection Effectiveness. Otherwise refer to [Guidance per Special Emphasis](/v414/docs/special-emphasis-components) Components and [Guidance per DM](/v414/docs/guidance-per-degradation-mechanism-implementation-and-interpretation) (see the summary table in [Methodology Step 11](/v414/docs/methodology-step-11)). - In [Step 12](/v414/docs/step-12-assign-s-rbi-results-to-inspectioncorrosion-schedules-andor-update-monitoring-plan) the identified combination of inspection technique and coverage should then be included in the Schedule scope. ## Print a Report To Print a Report: - Click on the Report button.![A screenshot of a cell phone Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/software-step-11-image-zdz75l8r.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T12%3A45%3A00Z&se=2026-10-28T13%3A45%3A00Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=xCWvrJT8JXn5C2l4aiHBTd%2Fpgh98bqAmsqU%2FY1NudTo%3D)Click the Report button to generate a report. - Select the desired fields. - Click **Generate as PDF** or **Generate as Word** or **Print**.
