Flange Design and Calculations

In addition to the Torque / Tension calculations, the following Flange calculations are also supported in IMS FCM (for more information see Flange Equipment Design and Calculations):

  • WRC538 – WRC Bulletin 538 Analysis

  • ASME Section VIII - ASME Sec VIII Div 1 2019 App 2

  • PCC-1 - ASME PCC-1 Appendix O Analysis

The Flange Design section can be used to input the data for these calculations. The Design tab contains all the input fields (including Tightening data and Recommended Specs). Each calculation’s results are shown on a separate output tab.

Note: Tightening data is mandatory for performing Jobs. It is also possible to import this data while creating Flange Equipment.
