Article summary

The Overview Plot tab is available in View 1 (opening screen) / View 2. With this tab selection, the screen displays the Corrosion Rate, the Remnant Life, or the Wall Thickness of each CML and their Measurement Position (MP) in a bar chart. So, the number of bars is equal to the number of rows in the Results tab or Measurements tab. Red crosses mark a detected anomaly in the reading.

To adjust the Overview plot:

  • Switch between (filter for) different Corrosion Rates (CRs), Remnant Life’s (RLs) and Wall Thickness:

    • Click on the Overview Plot tab and click the Settings button.

  • Select the desired RL or CR or Wall Thickness.

Example

The above image is an example of a Corrosion Rate overview plot. From this plot it can be seen that:

  • The bar chart shows the Corrosion Rate (in mm/y or inch/y) for each feature in the stratum/Circuit. The number of bars is equal to the number of rows in the Results tab, so it shows all the CML/MPs from the selected Circuits.

  • The blue dotted line is the suggested Corrosion Rate, in this example it is 0.1 mm/y (2.5mpy).

  • The red cross means an Anomaly has been detected in the data.

  • The color of the bar represents the CML type, for example an Elbow is red and a Straight is blue. To change the colors click the Settings button in the Details Page header.

  • To change the colors of the CML Type click the Settings button in the Details Page header.

CML type colors can be changed via the Details Page Setting button in the header.

  • To learn more about an Overview plot click on the Legend button:

  • To display only options for wall loss check the Wall Loss box.

  • To Zoom in / out click the Magnifier button and pull the arrows to the right range.

To show the labels below the Overview Plot click Show in the IDAP Details Page header.
