The CML Main screen shows an overview grid with a list of CMLs.

Listing CMLs (the Overview Grid)

To see the list of registered Circuits:

  • Go to the IMS Main Menu.

  • Click CML to go to the CMLs main screen.

Click on the CMLs Main menu to list all CMLs.

  • Use the scoping bar, the filter, or the search functionality to list the desired CMLs.

Find CMLs using the scoping bar / filter / search functionality.

  • Each record shows several fields, summarizing the Circuits (see the table below). To see more, click on the Settings icon in the toolbar and add additional fields.

Click on the settings icon to modify the grid.

Default CML data in the CML record:

Field /Column

Description

Circuit

The name of the Circuit that the CML is part of.

Sub Circuit

Sub-Group of the Circuit, for grouping similar CMLs within a Sub-Circuit. The Sub-Circuit-CML combination should be unique. If you do not want to group CMLs, you can use this as a short description. It is a mandatory field.

CML

The CML ID, click on it to open the CML Details Page.

The Active flag shows for each Circuit whether it is active or inactive:

CML Description

Short Description for the selected CML.

CML Type

Type of CML (e.g., PIPE, HEADER BOX, REDUCER, TEE, SHELL, CHANNEL, NOZZLE).

Must get

Check if this CML must always be measured.

Position

Position of the CML in the Circuit.

Nominal WT

Nominal Wall Thickness for the CML.

Diameter

Nominal Diameter fro the CML.

Renewal Thickness

Minimum Wall Thickness (WT) for the selected CML.

Renewal Basis

Renewal basis, either CALCULATED, FITNESS FOR SERVICE, NOMINAL MINUS CORR ALLOWANCE, STRUCTURAL MIN.

Required Inspection Method

Option to set a required Inspection Method (e.g. UT, RT) for all measurements for the CML (optional).

Design Corrosion Allowance

Drawing Filename

Name of the related drawing file.

Line number on drawing

Line number on drawing.

Line number in P&ID

Line number in P&ID.

Sketch number

Sketch number.

CML Menu Toolbar

There are several shortcuts or available features that the Circuit toolbar can be used for. For more information on the Toolbar, see IMS Main Screen (Grid List).

From the CML overview page, several filters can be used to drill down into the search results for the shown list of CMLs.

To filter a list:

  • Click on the filter button.

  • Check the filters that you want to use.

  • Click Show ….

Moving CMLs

From the CML main grid, items can be moved to another Circuit using the Move button in the Toolbar. A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to select a Circuit to which the CML(s) will be moved.

Select one or more CMLs and click the Move button to move them to another Circuit.

From the CML Main screen, you can also Create New CMLs.
