This section describes the Settings relating to Anomaly Management in IMS.
The IMS Settings Menu (see IMS Settings) can be used to configure a number of options related to Anomaly Management in IMS. These settings are intended to be used by administrators, and are not intended to be used in the day-to-day workflow for inspectors.
Anomaly Type Settings
The Anomaly Type Settings page contains a single grid containing a list of the available Anomaly Types (Corrosion, Cracking, Mechanical Damage, etc.) for your Site.
Anomaly Types can be created or deleted by selecting the desired entry and using the + or - buttons in the toolbar.
To edit an Anomaly Type, click the Edit button at the left side of the entry.
Anomaly Status Settings
Thie Anomaly Status Settings page contains a single grid containing a list of the available Anomaly Statuses for your Site. Each Anomaly Status is either Active (Open) or Not active (Closed, Not Anomalous).
Inactive Statuses will trigger Closure tracking when they are set on an Anomaly.
Anomaly Statuses can be created or deleted by selecting the desired entry and using the + or - buttons in the toolbar.
To edit an Anomaly Status, click the Edit button at the left side of the entry.
Anomaly Response Settings
The Anomaly Response Settings Page manages the list of Anomaly Responses and their associated business logic and Recommended Actions. This is the main configuration screen for the Response Automation feature.
Anomaly Responses
The Anomaly Response configuration area has an Anomaly Response section at the top where Anomaly Responses are defined. Although this setting is configurable, some default Anomaly Responses are typically predefined:

Business Logic | Whether this response requires a Schedule, requires an Action Item, or requires no follow-up. Drives follow-up validation on assessments. |

Recommended Actions, Action Defaults, and Condition Groups
Below the Anomaly Response list, the Anomaly Response Settings page also hosts three linked configuration grids:
Recommended Actions: Maps condition groups to a Response and an Action Default. When an Assessment’s conditions match a group, the associated Action Default is offered as the recommended follow-up.
Actions: A list of pre-filled Schedule and Action Item templates available as targets for Recommended Actions. The selected Action Default’s field defaults are editable alongside the grid.
Condition Groups: The underlying condition logic (built on the standard IMS condition-group engine) that determines when a Recommended Action applies. Individual conditions are editable alongside the selected group.
