Prev Next

Assigning an RSL to a Tag (Equipment or FLOC) using the Bulk Assign or the Plus button, will start the RSL Assign Wizard:

In case of a straight hierarchy, with for example matching Location type + Equipment group + CMMS type the RSL will be found. Such a straigh hierarchy can be:

Suitable RSL not showing

However if there is a mismatch in the hierarchy, and a 'skewed' hierarchy is present, the wizard will not show a suitable RSL.

In above 'skewed' hierarchy example we see this setup:

When assigning an RSL to the 10PCV9902a-eq the wizard will not find a RSL as the Location type does not match the Equipment group neither the CMMS type.

Using the Filter in the RSL assign wizard

In the RSL assign wizard however, the Filter is extended with the Location type, Equipment group and CMMS type of the Tag:

Removing the Location type (TANK-FLOC) and Equipment group (CONTROL VALVE) will offer the RSLs for the E_MOT_LV.

Take Note

Using the Filter in the RSL assign wizard will allow you to assign RSLs with more freedom.
However, you, as end user, should then take care that the selected RSL match the Tag in the end.

Care Strategy RSL assignment

For Care Strategy RSL assignment you can disable de default Filters completely.

In below example the Location Type filter and Equipment group filter are disabled, and just the CMMS-Type filter is active, enabling to show the Care Strategy needed.
