An RCM Dashboard shows key quality aspects of RCM analyses at a glance. This article walks you through building a custom dashboard from scratch, using the RCM Quality checks described elsewhere in this as the worked example.

Quality Aspects to Watch For
The Elements built in this tutorial visualize the quality checks described in detail in RCM Study Content — criticalities and residual risk, priorities and MEI classes, approval status, ETBC/ETBF ratios and values, and task counts. Seeing them on a Dashboard makes it easy to spot at a glance where investigation, follow-up, or correction may be needed, without reviewing the full checklist failure-mode by failure-mode.
Creating a New RCM Quality Dashboard
You create a new Dashboard by clicking + ADD NEW, which creates a new Dashboard Group and Section together. The dashboard’s name then appears in the list of dashboards.


Building the First Element
Choose which grid data source the Element should show — in this example, data from the RCM Analyses grid. You can also select queries you've created in the Custom Report Grid here.


Give the Element a name and a default filter — in this example, an overview of Analyses Completeness for Active FLOCs.

Select a Dimension from the Analyses grid to plot in the graph — in this example, AC (Analyses Completeness).

Once selected, the data appears — choose a graph shape and layout for it. Fine-tune the visual appearance — legends, counts, percentages, sorting, and renaming categories. Renaming categories (for example "Non," "FE+CA") is a useful way to fine-tune how a graph reads.

Save. The Element appears in this Section of the Dashboard Group — you can adjust its size and position manually afterward.

Editing an Existing Element
Make follow-up adjustments to an Element through editing.
Click the three dots at the Element level to make edits to the visuals or how you see data.

To make substantial adjustments to an element, do the following:
In the upper right corner, click the three dots.
Click Configure and arrange to enable editing.
Note
Here, you can also add a new element. To learn more, see Adding More Elements to the Group.

Hover over the three dots on the Element level and click Edit and make your changes.
Click Save.
Adding More Elements to a Group
Within this Group — which shows Analyses data from the grid — you can add another Element by clicking the three dots in the upper right corner and then selecting + Element. Repeat the steps in Building the First Element above, choosing a different Dimension each time. This example adds two more Elements the same way: an overview of the RCM criticalities, and an overview of the Residual Risk.
After saving, you end up with a dashboard that looks similar to this one, with Completeness, Criticalities, and Residual Risk shown side by side.

Adding a New Section
You may want to create more than one section in your dashboard. Putting elements in one section means a filter applies to all of them together. Putting elements in separate sections lets you filter each one individually.
To create a new section, do the following:
In the upper right corner, click + Section.
Follow the steps explained in Building the First Element.
Once you save your first element, either create a new section, add a new group, or click Close to exit edit mode.
You can continue adding Elements in the new section in the same way — for example, overviews of the Approved Status, MEI classes, ETBC/ETBF ratio classes, and ETBF values.
Once you’ve saved, you end up with a dashboard that looks like the one below. You have two distinct sections that you can filter individually.

Visualizing Other Data Sources
Creating a new Group lets you visualize data from a different source — for example, Systems data.
To add a new Group, do the following:
In the upper right corner, click + Group.
Enter the Title of the new Group.
Click Save.
Here, you can add new elements — for example, the Number of Systems per Plant, or the Number of Analyses per System.

You can also show RCM coverage in a Dashboard, in a new Group based on FLOCs.


Note that from the FLOC Main Screen (Grid List) shows Location Type and #FMs.

This metric shows the number of Failure Modes per tag in a pivoted grid, by location type. This is a useful way to see the depth of your analyses.

Creating a new Dashboard Section, you can build a similar table based on Equipment groups.
Arranging Groups, Sections, and Elements
Use the Configure and Arrange option to rearrange or resize the dashboard. You can rearrange the Dashboard Groups, Sections, and Elements to show suitable data together:
In the upper right corner, click the three dots.
Click Configure and Arrange.
Make changes to the dashboard, for example, resizing a section, moving elements around, or editing a group.
Once you’re done editing, click Close in the upper right corner.
