In addition to default Dashboards, one can also create personalized Dashboards, which can contain several Sections, with overviews of reports and metrics that the site/user is most interested in. This section (and subsections) will explain how to create such Dashboards and Dashboard Sections and populate these with the correct data. The built-in wizard in IMS will assist you in this process.
The general structure of a Dashboard is illustrated below.
Structure of Custom Dashboards:
Level | Description |
---|---|
Dashboard | The Dashboard is the highest level and starting point for creating your own Dashboard information. All available Dashboards are displayed in the Dashboard dropdown menu. |
Section | A Dashboard can contain one or multiple Sections. Each Section has a name and description. Also, for each Section, you must select a data Source and applicable filters. |
Element | A Section can contain one or multiple Elements. Each Element will display a specific set of data based on the Section’s specified Source. There are many display options for an Element. Elements can be linked or independent. Linked Elements are connected Elements, that will correspond to the selected item in the parent Element. |
Group | A group can also be added to a Dashboard. This can be used to group Sections together. |
Now you can start by Creating a New Custom Dashboard.
