Equipment outside IMS PEI RBI scope
For some Equipment, due to their characteristics (process conditions, design parameters, etc), it is not recommended or possible to perform an S-RBI Analysis in IMS PEI. These are listed in the table below.
Equipment outside the IMS PEI S-RBI methodology scope:
Equipment Type | Comments and References |
---|---|
Civil Equipment | Use IMS PEI (Civil) to apply the Civil RBI methodology. Refer to PEI Civil. |
Coke Drums | |
Critical Check Valves / Non-Return Valves | In IMS Critical Check Valves can be added in Piping Systems Flocs. This way the Critical Check Valve is a stand-alone Equipment, but it’s linked to the Piping System Floc, allowing the user to see if the Piping System is showing internal corrosion issues and allowing the inspector to adjust the inspection Schedule on the Critical Check Valve accordingly. |
CUI CCAM Priority 1 | |
Decoking Piping (Erosion) | |
Expansion Joints | |
Pipelines | Use IMS PLSS to assess pipelines. |
Soil-to-Air | There is no soil-to-air Component. |
