Fabric Maintenance (FM) Users can create 2 types of Schedules: CAIRs (Corrective Action Inspection Recommendation) and Inspections.
Schedules are defined in terms of:
- The WHEN - the NID (Next Inspection Date) - for FM Schedules the NID will normally be a horserace between the User Date and the Event Date (Schedules can be linked to Planned Events); and
- The WHAT - the Scope, i.e., the Equipment on which the FM work is to be performed, together with the work that is to be performed (for CAIRs this is specified in the FMA Checklist).
You need to check which Schedules are due (having a NID close to Today), then performs the work according to the Scope, captures the results, and credit the Schedule(s) in the Equipment Condition History (ECH). Thereafter a new Schedules can be created (CAIRs are not recurring, but Inspections can be set to be recurring).
