The Hazard and effect register contains all predefined Hazards (and their associated risks) that are used in the HAZOP Consequences where Top events with Hazards enabled, are selected. See Defining Consequences (HAZOP).
Defining Hazards in the register
The register is normally pre-populated as part of the initial setup of the IMS SIS database. However, users with the SIS Admin and SIS HAZOP role can edit, add, remove, export, or duplicate Hazards in this register. Take note that changes made here are applied to all HAZOPs in the applicable Sites / Plants / Units.
In Settings \ Maintenance \ SIS Specific data \ HAZOP \ Top event the SIS Admin user can list your Site’s Top Events and define which require a Hazard.
Take note that Hazards can be assigned at the Site, Plant, or Unit level.
Hazard and Effect register Tab in the HAZOP
Each HAZOP has a Hazard and Effect Register Tab that displays only the Hazards applicable to the Site / Plant / Unit under which the HAZOP resides.
Users with the SIS Admin and SIS HAZOP role can also edit, add, remove or duplicate Hazards from here. Take note that changes made here will reflect in the SIS Settings Hazard and Effect register and are applied to all HAZOPs in the applicable Sites / Plants / Units.
