Importing data can be blocked by errors which can vary in severity and also in clarity to resolve.

Below error was found while importing tasks:

Some import errors are caused by ‘duplicate objects’ though it can be hard to find the objects involved.

One possible situation in the RCM arena involves double Failure Modes defined under a Tag.

This might be caused by assigning twice an RSL, completely or partly, for example:

Some ways to investigate such situations are:

  • Reduce the import file to a sub-selection of tags.

  • Check the Failure Modes in the Tag details

  • Check the Tag-FM-Task uniqueness in the import-file

Note that removing the double entries in the import file does not solve the issue and the double entries should also be removed in the RCM analyses.
