IMS Bookmarks is a tool to create configurable bookmarks for the purpose of accessing resources hosted outside of IMS. With IMS Bookmarks, you can configure IMS to create custom URLs which include details such as FLOC or Equipment ID, based on the currently open object.

Access IMS Bookmarks Settings

IMS Bookmarks settings are stored and configured in IMS Settings. To access the IMS Bookmark settings:

  1. Navigate to Settings \ Configuration \ Maintenance \ Common Data \ IMS Bookmarks.

Create a new IMS Bookmark

To create a new Bookmark:

  1. Navigate to Settings \ Configuration \ Maintenance \ Common Data \ IMS Bookmarks.

  2. Click + in the top left hand corner of the IMS Bookmarks grid.

  1. In the dialog that pops up, configure your custom bookmarks by completing the following fields:

    1. Name: A name for your custom Bookmark.

    2. Description: Description of the Bookmark.

    3. Enabled: Enable/Disable the Bookmark on the applicable entity types’ Details Pages.

    4. Methodology: Methodology in which the Bookmark will be available.

    5. Entity Types: Entity Types on which the Bookmarks will be availalbe.

    6. Bookmark URL: Enter the structure of the URL, and add Placeholders using the + Add placeholder button.

  1. Click Save to save your changes.

After you save the new Bookmark Configuration, your Bookmarks will be available on the appropriate Entity Details Page.

Configure Existing Bookmarks

To edit or configure and existing Bookmarks:

  1. Navigate to Settings \ Configuration \ Maintenance \ Common Data \ IMS Bookmarks.

  2. Click theEditicon next to the Bookmark that you wish to edit.

  1. Edit the Bookmark’s settings in the settings panel.

  2. Click Save to accept your changes.

View and Use Bookmarks

To access your Bookmarks:

  1. Navigate to the entity’s (FLOC, Equipment, Schedule, ECH, or Drawing) Details Page.

  2. Click the Bookmark button on the right hand side of the Details Page header.

  3. Hover over the Name of the URL to see the details.

  4. Click the URL to open it in a new browser tab.

Delete Bookmarks

To delete a Bookmark Configuration:

  1. Navigate to Settings \ Configuration \ Maintenance \ Common Data \ IMS Bookmarks.

  2. Select one or more Bookmarks that you wish to delete.

  3. Click-on the IMS Bookmarks grid toolbar.
