2. Seamie helper for better IMS understanding
IMSFB-6918
For a better understanding of the entire IMS process, a new helper has been developed. It will lead the user through the important parts of every screen. Click on the helper icon, and IMS will briefly explain the important fields. The helper is available on the FLOC, Equipment, Corrosion Loop, Component, Circuit, CML, Schedule and ECH details screen.
Figure 4 The helper on the Schedules details screen3. Showing import results and tracking import history
IMSFB-8821
IMS can now navigate you to your import results after the import was done. Furthermore, IMS now keeps a clear history of the imports.
Whenever an import is done, IMS provides a link in the Import Wizard to navigate to the actual imports / changes. For instance, after 20 Equipment were imported, you can click on the “Show entities” button to also see the 20 newly created or modified Equipment in the Equipment grid.
Figure 5: Results button at the end of import processOnce the import is finished, information about the import is stored in the import history. The import history is available in the Settings Data Transfer Import History. The following information is available:
- when the import was executed,
- who performed the import,
- which type of import was performed, and
- a short description of import results.
By clicking on a specific import, additional information about the specific import is shown:
- status of the imported record (created or modified),
- which record was changed or created,
- a link to the specific item, and
- a summary of the changes on each object.
In addition, the entire import file that was used, can be downloaded, and, if possible, items can be shown in the grid.
Figure 6: Import history table4. New mobile layouts for FLOC, Equipment and ECH
IMSFB-11055, IMSFB-11008, IMSFB-11009
IMS was greatly improved to be used on mobile devices, especially tablets. This release introduces a new mobile layout for the FLOC, Equipment and condition history details screens. Parts of the screen, which are represented as sections on the desktop layout, are now sorted as options in a sidebar. Every section has its own button in the sidebar, so you can click on it to show it or even swipe left or right to move between the sections.
Note: This new layout is not yet available on all detail screens. Feedback is more than welcome, since overall mobile enhancement is planned with IMS 3.12.

IMSFB-11369, IMSFB-11049, IMSFB-8966, IMSFB-11065, IMSFB-6185
Attachments have been greatly enhanced in the 3.11 version. Firstly, the look of the attachments was changed:
- Attachments are now more prominent, showing larger thumbnails;
- Attachments can be grouped by “user who created them” or by “the date of upload or modification”; and
- The file attachment icon is now on the top right.
Figure 10: New attachmentsTo better understand and manage attachment context, a feature was implemented, in all attachment sections, to group attachments by uploader (Created by), or by date (Modified date). Attachments can thus now be sorted by uploader, or by date of upload. By default, attachments are sorted alphabetically.
Figure 11: Sorting attachments by date
When an image attachment is opened, it is shown in a full gallery screen. If attached item is a file, e.g. a pdf, a full screen preview of the file is shown in a file previewer. In the file previewer, the file can now also be rotated.
Figure 12: Image in gallery preview with edit buttonFor an image, an edit button is shown, which opens the image in the IMS image editor. In the IMS image editor, an image can now be annotated, text can be added, or part of the image can be highlighted with the rectangle. Images can also be rotated, and, if something went wrong, actions can be undone.

Schedule driver revamp
1. Schedule driver updates
IMSFB-10890
One Schedule driver has been discontinued, seven drivers were renamed, and one has been created:
- Discontinued:
- RBI – RENEWAL
- Renamed:
- From BP-G to BPG or MEC RP
- From NON-RBI EXTERNAL to EXTERNAL
- From NON-RBI INTERNAL to INTERNAL
- From RBI - ENVIRONMENTAL to RBI - ENVIRONMENT
- From RBI - FINANCIAL to RBI - ASSET (Economic)
- From RBI – REPUTATION to RBI - COMMUNITY (Reputation)
- From RBI – SAFETY to RBI - PEOPLE (Health & Safety)
- New:
- OPS-MTC-OTHER
2. Define a Schedule’s scope upon creation of a Schedule
IMSFB-10891
Now it is even simpler to setup a Schedule. If an Equipment has multiple Components in IMS, the scope can be defined while creating a Schedule. The scope section shows Failure Modes per Component, which can be added to the scope. It works the same as when a scope is defined after the Schedule is created.
Figure 16: Scope section while creating a Schedule3. Schedule driver gets automatically updated when RBI is added to scope
IMSFB-10892, IMSFB-10894
When an RBI assessment is linked to a Schedule, the driver from the RBI assessment will be used. If two or more categories have the same consequences value, the following priorities are used to pick the Schedule driver:
- RBI - PEOPLE
- RBI - ENVIRONMENTAL
- RBI - ASSET
- RBI - COMMUNITY
If a Schedule is Final approved and is added to the scope, the Schedule will be set to Writer approved and must be approved again.
When a Schedule is being created, the user can already add Components to the scope. If a Component already has an RBI assessment on it, the Schedule driver will be updated according to above priorities.
Figure 17: Creating a new Schedule with automatic update of driver4. General Component automatically added to scope during Schedule import
IMSFB-8468
Schedules can now be imported without having to define a general Component in the scope. IMS will automatically add the general Component in the Schedule’s scope upon creation, making it easier and simpler to create Schedules.
5. ME ONLY no longer available as a responsible discipline
IMSFB-10893
Responsible disciplines were updated and ME ONLY is no longer available for the new Schedules.
User management improvement
1. Warning when users simultaneously edit information
IMSFB-9403
When a user tries to edit any of the main objects, and another user is also busy editing it, the system will raise a warning, indicating who else is working on the object. Users can then decide to cancel, or continue work, but if both users change the same field, only the value form the last change will be applied.
Figure 18: Warning that another user is editing the same object2. Request new password when forgotten
IMSFB-2938
Users can now request new passwords when forgotten. A link for requesting it is shown on the login screen. When the link is clicked, a modal will pop-up asking for the username.
When a password reset is requested, an email is sent to the user with a temporary link, which the user can click to receive an activation code. With the activation code, the user can log in and set a new password. This way, IMS provides new passwords to users in a secure environment.
Note: A user account must have a defined email address to receive a password reset link.
Figure 19: Log in screen with a "Forgot your password?" link3. Get email notification when log in is detected from a new device
IMSFB-2938
When a user logs in into IMS from a new device, IMS will send an email notification to the user. This way you can control unauthorized usage of your account – change your password in such a case!
Note: A User account must have a defined email address to receive email notification. With version 3.11 all users will receive an initial email the first time that they log in on their devices.
Figure 20: Email example for when a user logs in for the first time on a device4. Added tracking of user authentication events
IMSFB-2938
In order to track unusual logins, IMS now remembers when users log in, request new passwords, or log out, as authentication events. The list of events is shown under the “Security” tab in settings. A list of authentication events can also be filtered by username, type of event, and status.
Figure 21: List of user authentication events5. Added filters on user lists - approval level, role, and last login date
IMSFB-9273
In order to manage users more easily, user lists can now be filtered by their user account properties:
- Approval level,
- Expired status,
- Last login date,
- Single sign on status, and
- Role.
Figure 22: User list with filters6. IMS support notification added for when someone gets a CSA role
IMSFB-10347
To have more control over corporate system administration roles and for security reasons, the IMS support team now receives an email notification when someone’s account is granted with the CSA role.
Figure 23: Email notification when CSA role is granted7. Settings for which user has no edit rights shown as locked
IMSFB-6269
Settings that cannot be changed by a user are now greyed out so that the user knows which settings can be changed before even opening them.

In RBI, Lining/Coating cannot be edited anymore by the INSP GENERAL user. This right remains for the user role: RBI.
1. Increased maximum number of characters for labels
IMSFB-10487
Until now, labels have been limited to 10 characters. With IMS 3.11, the limit has been increased to 15 characters, so more information can now be recorded in labels.
2. Labels can now be imported, exported and deleted in bulk
IMSFB-10490, IMSFB-10488
To make managing labels easier, a feature has been added to create, update and delete labels in bulk. Now, multiple labels can be created at once by importing them via a simple template. If labels must be updated, you can export the labels and use the same file to import the updated labels back again. If you need to delete multiple labels at once, you can select all labels that you need, and delete them.
Note: Only label description and color can be updated with the importer.
Figure 27: Label list with import, export and delete buttons
3. Labels shown on Schedule, Component, Circuit and CML details screen

Figure 34: Link on Schedule in the recurrence history4. Narratives on Schedules and ECH now open in full screen
IMSFB-11050
To keep focus on the findings, ECH narratives now open in full screen when being edited or read. The same goes for the plan narratives on Schedules.
Figure 35: ECH and plan narratives now open in full screen5. R405 now includes ECH name
IMSFB-7221
The Condition History SRBI (R405) report now shows the ECH number and its status. In this way it is easier to connect reports with specific ECHs in IMS.
IMSFB-7997
From this release, all deleted Schedules will be available for preview. In the Event history, a deleted Schedule now has a link on the Schedule name. That link opens the deleted Schedule for preview, in a popup.
Figure 37: Previewing deleted Schedule information7. Replacing API RBI Components in Schedule scope
IMSFB-8166
If an existing recurring Schedule scope contains an API (American petroleum institute) RBI Component that is expired, IMS will replace it with another existing Component in the scope. IMS will either replace the Component with the GENERAL Component, or it will ask the user to choose a different Component, if the Equipment has more Components.
Equipment
1. Add note when changing Equipment status
IMSFB-6851
To capture the reason for changing an Equipment status, IMS now asks the user to give a reason for change, when saving the new Equipment status. This note is then visible in the Event history.
Figure 38: Note to capture Equipment status change2. Delete CCAM data when no longer needed
IMSFB-9611
To easily delete CCAM data on an Equipment, a delete button was added. Now CCAM data can be cleared out with a click.

Figure 40: Component Material column in the RBI list
4. Increased default number of Schedules shown in list on Equipment details screen
IMSFB-8165
To assist cases with a lot of Schedules on a single Equipment, the Schedule list on the Equipment now shows up to 200 Schedules by default. This way, Schedules, previously hidden on the second page of the grid, will no longer be missed.
Figure 41: Default of 200 Schedules shown on the Equipment screen5. Piping systems now have a search box in the list of connected pipe segments
IMSFB-10033
To help find the right pipe segment in the piping system, a search box was added in the piping list on the Equipment details screen (only for the Equipment group piping system).
Figure 42: Searching on the piping section on the Equipment details screen6. Sites without SAP interface can edit HEMP field
IMSFB-8263
Sites that are not interfaced with SAP can now edit the HEMP field on the Equipment. This feature must be enabled in the application settings.
Figure 43: Editable HEMP field on Equipment7. Specs showing 3 decimals by default
IMSFB-8612
In the specs grid, by default, only the first three decimals values of a number are shown. When editing, the full value is shown and can be edited. This is applicable only for specs which are configured as numbers (is does not apply to dropdown values and characters). This feature can be managed in the application setting.
8. Hinting RBI matrix on SAP type or equipment group
IMSFB-4270
Next to equipment group or SAP type, IMS is now indicating for bundle, exchangers and tanks which RBI matrix is used for that specific equipment group, for example: half-life or full life IF Table..
Import changes
1. Additional simplified Measurement Set import template
IMSFB-4941
To make the import of Measurement Sets easier, a simplified template is introduced. The simplified template has less fields in the import sheet, making it easier to fill in the required data. The full import template is still available and remains unchanged. An additional button, for simplified Measurement Set export, was also added.
Figure 44: Simple and full export of the Measurement Set2. Added template for importing piping systems
IMSFB-9872
To make adding pipes to piping systems easier with the importer, a new template was added to the import wizard. The template also contains simple instructions explaining how to connect pipes into a system.
Note: To re-assign pipes from one piping system to another, two import actions are needed: first one for removing pipes from the current system and then a second one for adding pipe to another system.
Figure 45: Piping system template in import wizard and template with instructions3. Importer now distinguish between Units, FLOCs, Components and Circuits in import results
IMSFB-10471, IMSFB-10472
For better understanding of what is being imported, the import wizard now distinguishes between Units, FLOCs, Components, and Circuits. When importing FLOCs, the importer will now show both the number of Units and number of FLOCs that were found in the import file. The same applies to the import of Components and Circuits.
Figure 46: Example of import results with Units and FLOCs4. CCAM import now available
IMSFB-4528, IMSFB-6553

Figure 63: Box mode on dashboards 3. Custom dashboards can now show data as a percentage %
IMSFB-8688
Dashboards now supports percentages. To enable this, a base query must be provided during dashboard creation. IMS currently offers a set of base queries, which can be used (all active FLOCs, all active Equipment, all active Schedules...).
4. Applying mobile layout based on device type instead of resolution
IMSFB-11010
IMS can now detect the device on which it runs, e.g. desktop or mobile. Based on the detected device, an optimized IMS layout will be selected and the layout and appearance could thus differ depending on the device used. Release 3.11 includes three new mobile layouts. More is to come in release 3.12.
5. Attachment number added on attachment indicators and grids
IMSFB-8358
To give more emphasis to attachments, grid list for Components, Circuits, Equipment, Corrosion loops and CMLs, can now show the “Number of Attachments”. This option can be turned on in the grid settings.

13. Corrosion Loops now can have same name under a Unit
IMSFB-6915, IMSFB-7068
Corrosion Loop uniqueness has been extended to the Unit or Plant. Corrosion Loops with the same name can now be created in a different Unit or Plant. When creating a new Corrosion Loop, the Unit or Plant Id is mandatory. When the Plant is filled in during the creation, the Unit field will disappear. In the same way, if the Unit is filled in, then the Plant field will disappear.
Figure 71: Corrosion Loop - create new screenFeedback window changes
The feedback window has been enhanced. It now allows the user to submit more detailed information to support and development, in a way that will improve understanding of the issue.
1. Ability to provide more information when submitting an issue
IMSFB-10140
Now, every type of a Feedback has a different template with some mandatory fields. For example: when submitting a bug, description and reproducing steps will be mandatory. This will help the IMS team to better understand requests, features and bugs, making it easier and quicker for the team to resolve the issues.
2. Drag and drop multiple attachments to the feedback window
IMSFB-10138
Attachments, like screenshots or files, are always useful for better understanding of a feature request or an issue. With this drag and drop improvement, attachments are now even easier to submit via the Feedback window.
3. Feedback can now detect browser and version
IMSFB-10139
Additional data about the user’s browser is now detected by the Feedback window. Instead of describing which browser is used, Feedback is now smart enough to detect this data, which can be useful for resolving issues.
