Release 4.2

Note: These Release Notes only cover specific PEI enhancements. All other enhancements, not related to specific disciplines, are described in the IMS Platform (General) Release Notes.

INSPECTOR and INSP PLANNER User Roles Added

Two new roles have been introduced in the PEI module: INSPECTOR and INSP PLANNER.

The new INSPECTOR role is specifically designed for managing Equipment Condition Histories (ECHs) and related operations. Key capabilities include permissions to Create, Edit, Delete, and Approve ECHs. Inspectors are authorized to Credit Schedules but are restricted from Creating, Modifying, or Deleting them.

Additional permissions assigned to this role include selecting and completing Checklists, as well as adding Narratives, Drawings, and Attachments. Approval rights are configured on a per-user basis and scoped to Site, Plant, or Unit levels.

Discipline alignment is enforced, requiring that the User’s Discipline matches the discipline of the ECH or Schedule to perform crediting actions. Additionally, the INSPECTOR role supports configuration of witnessing per Schedule, provided the relevant application settings are enabled.

INSP PLANNER Role added to the list of PEI Roles.

The INSP CLERK/A role has been replaced by the new INSP PLANNER role, this means user that used to have the INSP CLERK/A assigned will now have the INSP PLANNER role assigned automatically. The INSP PLANNER role is focused on managing Schedules. Users with this role can Create, Edit, Delete, and Approve Schedules. Additional capabilities include Linking Schedules to Planned Events and configuring Witnessing per Schedule, provided the relevant application settings are enabled. Approval rights are configured on a per-user basis and scoped to Site, Plant, or Unit levels. Discipline alignment is enforced, requiring that the User’s Discipline matches the Discipline of the Schedule to perform Crediting actions.
