Under specific conditions, IMS can recommend minimum Renewal Thickness for a CML. Suggestions are provided to the Inspector so that in these specific conditions an optimal Renewal Thickness may be selected. It is left to the Corrosion Engineer to determine whether they should be applied.
The Renewal Thickness is recommended based on the DEP Min WT configuration and requires the following:
The Equipment Group has to be either “Pipe” or “Piping System”
CML Type has to be “Elbow” or “Pipe“
CML Diameter has to be set to a non-zero value
CML Renewal Basis has to be “STRUCTURAL MIN”
CML spec Base Matl has to be set to: “SS 316L”, “Carbon Steel”, or “1.25Cr-0.5Mo”
Circuit spec General/Design Pressure/Actual has to be set
Circuit spec General/Design Temperature/Actual has to be set
