IMS PLSS enables you to track and manage Spare parts efficiently. It allows you to record essential details about each spare part, including the quantity available and its specifications. You can also associate Spares with the relevant Equipment.

Spare Main Screen (Grid View)

The Spares Main Screen (Grid View) shows an overview grid with a list of Spares.

Listing Spares (the Overview Grid)

To see the list of registered Spares:

  • Go to the IMS Main Menu.

  • Click Spares to go to the Spares Main Screen.

Click on the Spares Main Menu to list all the Spares.

  • Use the Filter or the Search functionality to list the desired Spares.

Find Spares using the filter or search functionality.

  • Each record shows several fields, summarizing the Spares (see the table below). To see more, click the Settings button in the toolbar and add additional fields.

Click on the Toolbar button to add or remove columns.

Default Spares data in the Spares record:

Colum Name

Description

Active

The Active flag shows for each Spare whether it is active or inactive:

 Active Spare

Inactive Spare

Spare ID

A unique identifier is assigned to the spare part.

Spare Equipment

The specific Equipment the Spare is related to.

Type

Type of Equipment.

Description

Short Description of the selected Equipment.

Quantity

The number of units available for that particular Spare part in inventory.

Tag Labels

Custom labels can be assigned to each record.

Spares Menu Toolbar

There are several shortcuts or available features that the Spare Parts toolbar can be used for. For more information see IMS Main Screen (Grid List).

Filtering Spares

  • Click the Filter button

  • Select the checkboxes next to the filters that you want to use.

  • Click Show… .

Creating New Spares

Spares can be created in Bulk through the data import feature. Make sure you select “Spare Parts” when you export the template.

Alternatively, you can create Spares from the header bar of the Spares Main Screen: To create a new Spare Part:

  • Click on the Plus button.

  • Enter the required data in the pop-up window. See the table above.

  • Click Save.

A new Spare will be created and you will be redirected to the Details Page of the Spare you just created.

Spare Details Page


To open a Spare Part Details Page, click on the desired Spare ID hyperlink in the Spares main Screen. See IMS Details Page.

The Spares Details Page can be divided into sections:

Header

The header of the detail page shows the name of the Spare / Spare ID and several navigation options.

Details

The fields present in the Details section are described above in the Listing Spares table.

Deleting a Spare Part

To delete a Spare Part:

In the Details section of the Spares Details Page, click Delete.

A pop-up will ask you for confirmation. In the pop-up window, click Delete or Cancel.

A pop-up message will appear in the upper right corner stating that the deletion of the Spare Part was successful.

Equipment

The Equipment section allows you to link the Spare Part to its relevant Equipment. To link the Equipment to the Spare Part:

  • Click the Plus button.

  • Select the applicable Equipment ID(s) from the list.

  • Click OK.
