Hard Refreshing Pages and Clearing Cache
As IMS runs on a common internet browser, like Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, it's normal that the pages in IMS need to be refreshed, and when the problem persists, you may need to perform a hard refresh or even clear the locally stored cached site data.
Take Note
Please note that IMS no longer officially supports Internet Explorer.
Clearing cached browsing data
To clear your cached browsing data:
Click <CTRL> + <SHIFT> + <DEL>; or Click the three dots in the top an click Settings.
Search for “Clear“.
Click on Choose what to clear.
Make sure Cashed Images and Files are checked.
Click Clear now.
Creating a new browser profile
Creating a new browser profile can sometimes resolve caching issues that cannot be fixed otherwise. This process is similar to setting up a fresh browser installation.
Take Note
A new profile does not retain browsing history, bookmarks, or saved passwords from the original profile, as these are stored separately.
You can easily switch back to your original profile from the same settings screen.
To create a new browser profile and switch to it:
Go to the browser Settings as per the above instructions.
Click Profile.
Click + Add profile
Add you profile.
Go back to the Settings Screen.
For the new Profile click Switch.
Take Note
After switching to a new profile and opening IMS, any remaining caching issues should be resolved. However, IMS may initially respond more slowly as the local cache rebuilds by downloading data from the server. This should only last for the first few minutes of use.
Clearing local storage
Alternatively, you can follow the steps below to clear the local storage:
