Aim
The S-RBI Analysis results, which were reviewed in Step 11, tell us how and when to inspect / monitor the Components, i.e., how to verify the Barriers. Hardware Barriers are verified through Inspection Schedules at Equipment level - when the Component/DM is put into the Schedule’s Scope, or Corrosion Schedules. Process Barriers are verified with proactive monitoring plans. These plans should be defined in terms of the Integrity Operating Windows (IOWs) at CL level.
Depending on the type of DMs and Barriers, the deliverables for this step thus are:
- Inspection Schedules that matches the recommendation / strategy of S-RBI. Note: Inspection Schedules are at Equipment level - RBI Component(s) are added to the Schedule’s Scope for particular DMs; and/or
- Corrosion Schedules with IFs based on the Components’ S-RBI Analyses. Note: This is at the Circuit level; and/or
- Proactive monitoring plans. Note: This can be defined in terms of the Integrity Operating Windows (IOWs) at CL level.
See Methodology Step 12 and Software Step 12.
