GRSL - Global RSL

Prev Next

A Global RSL (GRSL) is a generalized RCM analysis that is centrally created and made readily available to end users in the IMS library.

There are various ways to create an RSL:

  • Create the RSL manually, step by step, using the Plus button in the Maintenance Library.

  • Export an existing RSL and import it under a new name, as revision 1.

How to Interpret GRSL Data

GRSL data is generalized and averaged based on industry experience. Cost data in particular is provided only as a reasonable starting point to support priority setting and scoping. However, it should be tuned to your actual local situation. A GRSL is not designed to reflect any specific site, contract, company, or asset.

Using and Localizing a GRSL

After downloading a GRSL, you can convert it into a local RSL version. For your specific application, it is wise to modify and adjust the GRSL data for local use — an approach called localization.

Where GRSLs come from

GRSLs are maintained, revised, and published in a central database, from which they are made available for download in the IMS library.
