To make use of 3D Observation and Observation scan, you need to have the "REMOTE INSPECTOR" Role assigned in IMS. (This is done in the Security Settings).
User Roles
There are four user roles that allow for use of 3D Observation and Observation Scan:
User Type | Responsibilities |

Remote Inspector | Upload 2D images & Point Clouds into IMS, run Machine Vision to detect integrity issues, do initial review, create OB-Projects. See Observation Scan. |
INSP GENERAL (End User) | Review the OB-Items in IMS, verify in Field, create ECHs & CAIRs. See 3D Observation. |
INSP ADMIN | Involved prior and after IMS, can change and delete OB-Projects. |
CSA (Super User) | Involved prior and after IMS, can change and delete OB-Projects, and provide support where needed. |
Note: All four types of users need to have the REMOTE INSPECTOR Role assigned in IMS.
