Article summary

After creating and detailing your Condition History, the next step is to link it to the Schedule it belongs. This is done from the Schedule Credited section on the Condition History Details page. The same section allows you to add Tasks and confirm that they were completed.

Condition History Types

ECHs can be divided into two types:

  • Event or Opportunity Driven: This ECH is not linked to a Schedule, but an event is recorded, e.g. rerate performed, significant process change, a fork-lift dented the shell, etc. If no Checklists or Tasks are recorded, this is referred to as a “Narrative Only” ECH.

  • Schedule Driven: This ECH credits one or more Schedules and describes the work and/or findings associated with the credited Schedule(s).

Schedule Driven case: Crediting a Schedule in an ECH.

Event or Opportunity Driven

To specify that the ECH is Event/Opportunity Driven:

  • Scroll down to the Schedules Credited section.

Crediting a Schedule means that the Schedule has been completed. All active completed Schedules, except for the Corrosion Schedule, must be credited in an ECH. More than one Schedule can be credited in one ECH.

When a Recurring Schedule is credited and the ECH is Approved, IMS will auto generate a new identical Schedule. The NID of the new Schedule will be determined by adding the current interval to the Condition Date of this ECH.

When a non-recurring Schedule is credited and the ECH is Approved, IMS will consider this Schedule complete. There will not be a NID. If the only valid Schedule of an Equipment is credited, then the user will be warned that a Default Schedule (safety net) will be created. Valid Schedules are Inspection and RBI Reassessment.

To credit Schedules:

  • Scroll down to the Schedules Credited section.

  • Select the applicable Schedule card.

  • Click CREDIT.

To remove a Schedule / Event from the ECH scope:

  • Select the applicable card.

  • Click REMOVE.

Click REMOVE to remove the Schedule card.

When Schedules are credited, information will appear in the Checklist section which must be defined further in Step D. Additionally, if the credited Schedule contained Tasks, they will appear in the Schedules Credited section where you can confirm they were completed.

Tasks in Condition Histories

IMS allows you to add Tasks to both of the previously mentioned ECH types, enabling you to indicate which Activities were completed during the execution of the Schedule.

Adding Tasks to Condition Histories

When a Schedule with Tasks is credited to a Condition History, those Tasks will be added to the corrisponding Condition History automatically.

When a Schedule without Tasks is credited, or if the ECH is Event or Opportunity Driven, you can add the Tasks manually.

To add Tasks to a Condition History:

  • Navigate to the Schedules Credited section on the Condition History Details Page.

  • Click the + Add Task button.

A pop-up window will appear.

  • In the Activity field, select an Activity from the drop-down menu.

  • Click Save.

Note: You can also add additional Tasks to the Condition History with Credited Schedules that already contain Tasks by following the steps outlined above.

Confirming Tasks

The Tasks that were completed during the execution of the Schedule need to be Confirmed / Marked as completed.

To mark a Task as completed, click anywhere on the Task card. A Green Checkmark will appear indicating that the Task was Confirmed. Information regarding the Date the Task was confirmed and User who confirmed it will also be displayed.

Green checkmark is indicating that the Task was marked as completed.

When a Schedule Driven ECH is Approved, only the confirmed Tasks will remain recorded. The uncofirmed Tasks will be removed from the Schedules Credited section. The Confirmed Tasks will also be marked as Confirmed in the associated Schedule. On the Schedule Details Page, in the Schedule Task, the Confirmed column will display the ID of the ECH, along with the Date and the Username of the User who confirmed it.

Unconfirming Confirmed Tasks

IMS allows you to unconfirm Confirmed Tasks by removing the Green Checkmark from the Task card. To unconfirm a confirmed Tasks:

  • Click the Green Checkmark on the Task card.

A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm the removal of the Confirmed Task.

  • Click Confirm or Cancel.

Once the Schedules are credited and Tasks confirmed, proceed to Specify Inspection Data and Codes in the Checklist section.
