Maintenance Equipment Care (MEC) Cost is a shared IMS feature that captures the cost of Schedules and rolls up into the MEC Cost Index used to benchmark maintenance spend across modules. In RCM, MEC Costs are mandatory rather than optional, so the cost fields are always shown on RCM Schedules. RCM also feeds the MEC Cost Index directly through the Annual POC (Price of Conformance) defined on RCM Tasks, in addition to the Annual Cost of Schedules.
