Release 2023.3

Note: These Release Notes only cover specific PEI enhancements. All other enhancements, not related to specific disciplines, are described in the IMS Planform (General) Release Notes.

Inspection codes replaced with Dynamic Forms

IMSFB-38806

Legacy inspection codes have been replaced with the Dynamic Form Checklists. PEI is retiring legacy inspection codes and replacing them with Dynamic Forms, i.e., all ECHs using inspection codes will still show them, but new ECHs will only have Dynamic Form Checklists to select. Codes have also been transformed to Dynamic Form Checklists in following matter:

Wind Load calculations available on Tank level

IMSFB-37104

IMSFB-39015

IMSFB-39016

Sub-Components are no longer used in IMS. With this release the Load Case calculations were moved to the Equipment and Component level. For this reason Courses are also no longer created as Sub-Components: They now need to be created as individual Shell Components under the Tank Equipment. In the LC2 and LC3 screens, one of these Shell Components can then be selected as the Governing Course.

Courses are now created as individual Shell Components under the Tank Equipment.

One of the Shell Components can then be selected as governing course.
User Instruction
To learn more about Course Components and (updated) Load Cases Calculations see Tank Equipment.

Lining/Coating Inspection history Improvement

IMSFB-41642

Unlike "Poor", "Average" and "Good", "None" is not applicable to the Lining/Coating condition. "None" indicates that the Lining/Coating has not been inspected. For this reason, when "None" is selected in the Inspection History, the respective Inspection History's date will not be applied as LID to the Lining/Coating. The LID will be taken from the last Inspection History where "Poor", "Average", or "Good" was selected for the Lining/Coating Condition. In this way the MII for the Lining/Coating is impacted.

User Instructions
To learn more about taking credit for lining/coating and for an example of how the MII is impacted by the Inspection History see Step 6 - Estimate RL.

CHLORIDE SCC EXTERNAL Degradation Mechanism Improvement

IMSFB-37038

The CHLORIDE SCC EXTERNAL [NAR] Degradation Mechanism (DM) is now behaving similar to the CHLORIDE SCC [NAR] (internal) DM: It does not provide an Interval Factor (IF), the same inspection interval table is used, and NAR Confidence Questions apply. Also, the Lining/Coating option is now available for this DM, which means credit can be taken for Coating.

For convenience the misaligned RBI Analyses are highlighted in the RBI Optimization Dashboard. For these analyses the Confidence questionnaire need to be resaved to confirm the change.

Tank StF Product Corrosivity - Internal water management - rating updated

IMSFB-35516

In the Tank StF Product Corrosivity questionnaire, for the question "Water separates out from product and is routinely drained (at least once per week)" the rating has been changed from 4 to 3.This is to align better with Tank RBI methodology.

For convenience the misaligned RBI Analyses are highlighted in the RBI Optimization Dashboard. For these analyses the Product Corrosivity questionnaire need to be resaved to confirm the change.

RBI Dashboard: Criticality vs. Equipment group showing PEI related Equipment only

IMSFB-36014

The Criticality vs. Equipment group section on the RBI Dashboard now shows only PEI-related Equipment. It was previously showing all the Equipment groups.

Circuit Improvements

Default Text available for Measurements

IMSFB-27325

We have added the Default text option to the Notes in the Measurement Set and S-IDAP Trend Notes. The Insert default text option is available to anyone who can Edit the Notes on Measurement Sets, but Adding a new default text option is available only for users with INSP ADMIN roles.

Selected Measurement Set Reports

IMSFB-34191

You can now create Reports for one or more selected Measurement Sets. To facilitate this, checkboxes have been added to the Details section of the Measurement set configurator screen, allowing you to select only the applicable Measurement Sets. Previously, it was only possible to create Reports for all the Measurement Sets on the Equipment. If you want to get a Report for all the Measurement Sets on the Equipment, you will need to select all the Measurement Sets on the list. Additionally, you can now create Reports for Measurement Sets from the Measurement Set section of the Circuit Details page. However, in this case, only a Report for the one selected Measurement Set will be created.

Mapping CMLs on 3D Modules

IMSFB-37490

On the Equipment Details Page, in the Documents and Drawings sections, 3D view now has an "Equipment Inspection" tool that can be used together with the CML mapping tool.

Configuring CML Types per Equipment Group

IMSFB-35749

It is now possible to configure CML Types per Equipment group from Settings \ Maintenance \ Configuration per Hierarchy Type.

User Instructions
To find out more on how to configure CML Types per Equipment group see: Hierarchy Type Configuration in Settings.

EVA Confidence Interval Changed

IMSFB-29236

The default EVA Confidence Interval was changed to 99%. It was previously 95%.

User Instructions
To find out how to change the default EVA Confidence Interval value see: Advanced EVA Settings.
To learn more about EVA methodology see: Appendix: The EVA Methodology.

Drawings and Documents on Corrosion Loops

IMSFB-36824

The Drawings and Documents section will now be displayed on the details page for any Corrosion Loop that has a drawing connected with it or for any Corrosion Loop that has a position defined in a 3D Model.

Civil Improvements

Civil Roles Updated

IMSFB-37832

The Civil General Role has been updated to be better aligned with the PEI INSP GENERAL Role.

User Instructions
To review the Civil Roles see: PEI Civil User Roles.

Automatic switch between PEI and Civil Module

IMSFB-30644

As a rule, URLs are restricted to the module where they were originally generated. Consequently, users logged into the PEI (Civil not included) module couldn't previously access URLs generated in the Civil module. However, IMS will now seamlessly switch to the PEI (Civil included) module if the user viewing the URL has the Civil role assigned. So, now when you are working in the PEI (Civil not included) module and try to open a Schedule URL created from the Civil module, you should notice that IMS automatically checks the "Include Civil" checkbox and shows you the CIVIL Schedule, provided that you have a CIVIL role assigned.

User Instructions
To learn more about the Civil module see: PEI Civil Software Overview.
