Version 3.13 brings updates to existing features of IMS. Its main target is to introduce better Corrosion Management Framework, revamp dashboarding, stabilize and improve performance.

Highlights

IMSFB-10267

IMSFB-10204

1. CMF / IOW (Corrosion Loop Enhancements)

The Corrosion Loop was redesigned with significant changes. The first change that you will notice is that the old term “Failure Mode” has been replaced with the term “Degradation Mechanism” (DM). You should also notice significant Corrosion Loop main screen changes. Material Designation as an additional option to the detail of Corrosion Loop and the CMF and Failure Mode comments sections were removed. In place of the Failure Mode section, you will now see the new Degradation Management board!

1.1 Corrosion Loop details

The Corrosion loop details section now have an option to specify the material designation for the corrosion loop. Based on this selection, you can later add these materials automatically to the Barrier of type “Material Selection” (see Barrier cards).

Figure 1 Corrosion Loop details

1.2 Degradation Management

The Degradation Management board combines multiple functionalities in the form of cards. Each of these functionalities is now represented with a card on the board. The board shows the Degradation Mechanism (DM) cards, the Barrier cads, as well as other functionalities to be explained in the coming sections. Below is an overview of the board with the list of basic functionalities.

Figure 2 Degradation Management Board

1. Button to add DMs. This is the button for adding a Degradation Mechanism to the Corrosion Loop. New search functionality was added. This makes it easy to search for, and add, a Degradation Mechanism (DM) to the corrosion loop. When you enter search criteria in the search bar, the system will suggest DMs that satisfy the criteria. You can then select one of the suggested DMs. The system will expand the hierarchy tree, where the DM is located, and highlight the searched DM. IMSFB-10014

5. Button to add/edit/pin DM Notes. The button can be used to add a note to the Degradation Mechanism and to view all other notes related to the DM. The latest notes will be visible in the Notes section.

Figure 5 DM Note windowBy default, you can edit the most recent DM note, else select an older note to Edit. You can also add a new note. By default, the most recent note is pinned to the board and is shown in the Notes column. Use the pin icon to pin a different note to the board. To see all notes, click Show all.

6. Button to add/edit/pin Barrier Notes. The functionality to add Barrier notes is the same, as explained for the DM notes. Additionally, for Barrier notes you can add different types of barrier notes at once. The options on the left side of the screen can be used to select the barrier note type.Figure 6 Barrier note

7. Indicator card. For every combination of the Degradation Mechanism and Barrier type in the system, support can configure an indicator to determine the barrier status. Currently there are four type of the indicators (see 0).

8. Show all. The show all options show all information for all indicators. Normally just the leading information is shown on the board, but this option will give you an overview of all the indicators.

9. The Mitigation card. These cards provide information about the CAIRs in the system. Because of the mitigation, the indicator will make the Barrier status yellow. Status can be red, amber, green or yellow.

10. Show all. The Show all option for the notes.

11. The notes card. The latest notes for every note group.

1.3 Degradation Mechanism cards

The Degradation Management board consists of three type of Degradation Mechanism cards.

1. The Strategy based DM card has as strategy section that shows the worst strategy and the related component (1). For this all the RBI analyses related to the DM in the current Corrosion Loop, are considered. If there are more components with the same strategy, you can click on the three-dots to see the list of components. Additionally, the card contains information about the Mitigated and Unmitigated corrosion rate and Morphology. These values can be entered by clicking on the fold-out bar (2).
Figure 7 Strategy Based DM

2. The Internal Age-Related DM card shows information about the Actual CR. Users can see the corrosion circuit next to the CR. If there is more than one circuit with the same Actual CR, you can click on the three-dots to see the list of all the corrosion circuits. The three-dots will also show you the full name, if the name is too long to be displayed on the card.

Figure 8 Internal Age-Related DM

3. The Non-Age-Related DM card shows information about the worst MII and the worst strategy, if is applicable.Figure 9 Non-Age-Related DM

1.4 Barrier cards

Every DM has suggested Common Barrier types which can be added, by just checking the check box on the DM card (see no 3 in Figure 2). Alternatively, the Barriers can also be added with the Barrier add button (see no 2 In Figure 2).

Every Barrier type shows different information, which can be edited in the card detail:

  • Process Control and Chemical Treatment
  • Material Selection
  • Coating and Liners
  • Design Detailing
A screenshot of a social media post Description automatically generatedFigure 10 Different Barrier types

1.5 Barrier risk

On the barrier card, the system will calculate barrier risk based on the consequence and likelihood the likelihood of an LOPC caused by barrier to fail. The consequence will be calculated based on the worst consequence in RBI, but the user has possibility to override it and set the: User Consequence. In that case the User Consequence will be used instead. Likelihood is supposed to be filled in by user.

Figure 11 Barrier Risk

1.6 Indicators

For every combination of the Degradation Mechanism and Barrier type in the system, support can configure an indicator to determine the barrier status. Currently there are four type of the indicators configured:

  • CORROSION CALC
  • ECH FINDINGS
  • SPECIFICATIONS
  • PROCESS DATA
A screenshot of a computer Description automatically generatedFigure 12 Different indicators of Barrier status

Every indicator shows the worst status of all the components for that DM. You can see all the statuses by clicking the Show all button.

When the “Show all” button is clicked the indicators as well as the actions planned information will be shown. See below.

Figure 13 Indicators and Actions planned

1.7 Barrier Statuses in IMS

Barrier status is based on the Indicators. It shows on all the IMS sections that can influence the Barrier. For example, on the ECH, ECH codes, RBI, and Corrosion Circuit.

1.8 Suggested IOWs

Suggested IOWs can be configured per Barrier type. Once there is a suggestion, and the Barrier type is part of the DM, a warning will appear above the Barrier grid.

A screenshot of a social media post Description automatically generatedFigure 15 IOWs are suggested per Barrier type (if configured)

1.9 IOW Variable Exceedance

IMSFB-3408

IMSFB-7849

IOW variables should be connected with the PI tag and have minimum required data filled in, that IOW will get the grey status.

The minimum required data consist of:

  • PI Tag
  • Target MIN and/or Target MAX
  • Integrity MIN and/or Integrity MAX
  • At least one of the following fields:
    • Maximum time single exceedance
    • Maximum time cumulative exceedance
    • Maximum nr. of exceedances allowed
Figure 16 Integrity Operating Window

Once the IOW is configured and has minimum required information, the system will start with calculating the exceedances through a nightly batch call. The IOW will get the green status.

Figure 17 IOW statuses

Exceedances are captured, based on the IOW Target MIN/MAX definitions. The Process data Indicator status depends on that Barrier's captured IOW exceedances. When the MIN/MAX values exceed the Target MIN/MAX the status will be set to Amber, and for exceeding the Integrity MIN/MAX the status will be set to Red. The IMS user can also ask for detailed data to make his own assessment.

To create a new dashboard, click on the "new" button at the bottom of the list.

A screenshot of a cell phone Description automatically generatedFigure 25 New dashboard picker

2.2 Selecting the dashboard section’s data source

It all starts with a data source: A list of the equipment, schedules, condition histories, corrosion loops... All main menus can be selected as a data source. For more advanced data sources, use Custom Reports to build a Query and select it as a data source.

A dashboard can have many sections and each section has its own source.

A screenshot of a social media post Description automatically generatedFigure 26 Selecting a data source

2.3 Create a Dashboard with the Wizard

To make dashboard creation easier, a wizard can now walk you through the steps to create a dashboard:

  1. Select the source,
  2. Define the available and default filters, and
  3. Create your dashboard element.

Use the same filters, as available in the main menus, like schedules, to define the segment which you want to track. This is easy and simple, just line on the grids!

A screenshot of a cell phone Description automatically generatedFigure 27 Defining segmentation on an element

2.4 Select the Best Visualization

Is a simple count not enough? Select a dimension to show more detailed information. Then, select the best way to visualize your data. Additionally, IMS provides:

  1. Single counts
  2. Bar chart
  3. Pie chart
  4. Vertical bar chart

Other features

1. ECH/Schedules

1.1 90 days approval timeline

IMSFB-13325

The 60 days timeline, for approval, has been changed to 90 days, consistent with latest AMS/MEC RP recommendations. For this reason, the “Created” filter, on the Condition History, Schedules and Circuit main screens, now shows conditions in dates, divided into the following groups:

  • <30 days
  • 30 – 90 days
  • 90 – 180 days
  • 180 – 365 days
  • >365 days

The Inspector Dashboard “Waiting for Approval” section also reflects these changes. All items older than 90 days, on the inspector dashboard, are highlighted with a red background.

Figure 38 Waiting for Approval

The WOP is now by default set to 90 days.

1.2 Changes to Leak and Leak Save templates

IMSFB-13309

IMSFB-10086

IMSFB-9966

The logic for showing mandatory fields for Leak and Leak Save templates has been slightly changed in this version. The ECH codes, in the “Probable Mechanism Of Failure” section, are still mandatory, but now the user can only select one option. When one probable mechanism is selected, the other options will be disabled. To get them enabled again, the user must first delete the entry. Only then can one make a different selection.

The Leak and Leak Save section is now recommended to fill in. The GASKET AND PACKING spec is not part of the template.

Figure 39 The Leak and Leak save template From this version users can also select a degradation mechanism as a part of the Leak and Leak save template. The Degradation Mechanism is in the recommended part of the template and it is available as filter in the Degradation log.

The Degradation log now has three new columns:

  • Mechanism of Failure,
  • Degradation Mechanism, and
  • The Leak Date.

The Degradation log can now also be filtered on the ECH range.

1.3 Temporary leak repair enhancements

IMSFB-13252

When scheduling CAIRs, some sites use the “REMOVING” temporary repair class for both installing and removing of temporary leak repairs. Therefore, this temporary leak repair template is available in both cases.

Now, when using the Temporary Repair Class in the CAIR for both installing and removing, the user can associate the removing CAIR with the one, which was used to install the temporary leak repair. In the TEMP REPAIR NUMBER field, of the removing Temporary Repairs template, the user can click on the magnifier, to find and select the associated installing CAIR.

Figure 40 Selection of the TEMP REPAIR NUMBER

The TEMP REPAIR NUMBER from the Installing CAIR can be associated only with one removing CAIR. Once the user has established the link, that number is no longer available for future CAIRs.

Together with the TEMP REPAIR NUMBER, the system will also populate the other empty fields with data, from the installing Temporary Repair CAIR template. However, filled-in fields will not be overwritten.

The User can select one or more CAIRs in the pop-up screen. When multiple CAIRs are selected, the system will add all the TEMP REPAIR NUMBERs to the removing template.

1.4 Leak cause filter

IMSFB-13760

An additional “Leak Cause” filter is now available in the Condition History (ECH) main screen. When the user creates an ECH with the LEAK or LEAK SAVE template, he/she must provide the leak cause. Based on this information, the user can easily filter ECHs with the new filter.

Figure 41 Leak cause filter

1.5 Import of the Visual inspection plan code

IMSFB-12439

The Visual inspection plan code is now part of the Schedule import. Users can tick the “Yes” value in the VISUAL column to indicate the Visual plan code. This can be done when the schedule is created, or later with an update.

Figure 42 Import of the Visual inspection plan code

1.6 IRIS as preferred NDE

IMSFB-10084

In the Schedule “Scope and plan code” section, IRIS is now part of the preferred NDEs for sulfidation, on component type TUBES, on BUNDLE and EXCHANGER.

Figure 43 IRIS is now a preferred NDE for sulfidation

1.7 ECH Improvements

IMSFB-12785

IMSFB-13224

The ECH is updated with the following:

  • Multiple CAIRs can now be created for a selection of observations (OBs).
  • The number of the observations is now reset when one/more OBs are deleted.
  • Within the Repairs Planned section of an ECH, the wording is changed for one of the options: REPAIRED is replaced with REPAIR”; and
  • The date entry form is corrected.

Previously, when the user wanted to create a CAIR directly on the ECH, all the OBs would automatically be added by the system. Now, the user can select which OBs to include in the CAIR. The process can be repeated as many times as needed.

Figure 44 Selection of OBs on the CAIR

1.8 New part for conditions found on External Corrosion

The following parts or findings are now available on the ECH for PIPE and PIPING SYSTEMS:

  • Bolts and Nuts – Corroded

1.9 Improved Mappings on 3D for Schedules

IMSFB-9236

The equipment 3D model and ISOs are now available on the main schedule screen. You can pin multiple locations for every schedule. For recurring schedules, the pinned locations will be carried over to the succeeding schedule. Tagged locations can be previewed on the 3D model or ISO, with filter options. This functionality is also available on mobile devices.

2.1 New components for Thermal Mix Point and Injection Point

IMSFB-13313

IMSFB-5988

For the equipment group PIPE and PIPING SYSTEM, two new component types are available in IMS:

  • THERMAL INJECTION POINT
  • THERMAL MIX POINT

For these, the StF assessment was adjusted, and it responsively follows the methodology flow chart, based on the material selection.

A picture containing screenshot Description automatically generatedFigure 48 For Thermal Failures the StF was adjusted to follow the flow charts

2.2 Injection Point Analysis Criticality Table

IMSFB-11676

IMSFB-13513

The Criticality table for IP Analysis (N, L, M, MH, H, E) now also shows the letters to match the table in AMS for injection points (F, E, D, C, B, A). When the IP/MP classification is E, S-RBI will determine if the consequence selected is RAM 2 or 3, hence automatically showing the 8- or 10-year interval.

A screen shot of a computer Description automatically generatedFigure 49 New Criticality Analysis for Injection Points

2.3 Updated Methodology for HTHA to align with RP

IMSFB-12546

IMSFB-9800

The StF questions were aligned with AMS MEC RP 4-03.1v3. (One StF question was removed.)

A screenshot of a computer Description automatically generatedFigure 50 StF questions for HTHA

Previously, the user was supposed to select the material at the moment of applying the Degradation Mechanism on the component. It was not possible to change that information later. In this version, the system will take material for HTHA from the BASE MATL of the RBI component. If the user wants to change the material for HTHA, he/she must change it on the component spec.

2.4 Adjusted PRV S-RBI Confidence Assessment

IMSFB-11084

The Confidence Assessment, which can be found under the PRV StF, was updated to include the “bad-actor” penalty. This change addresses the issue in PRV S-RBI that 'bad-actors' achieve long Maximum Inspection Intervals because they do not fail to danger.

A screenshot of a cell phone Description automatically generatedFigure 51 PRV Adjusted Confidence Assessment

For the legacy assessments, a review flag is available on the grid, and the user can decide to apply it. The whole list is on the dashboard.

Figure 52 Review flag on the grid

2.5 New Age-Related Degradation Mechanism for Mechanical Fatigue by Cyclic Loading

IMSFB-10034

Equipment designed for cyclic service (temperature or pressure) is susceptible to fatigue. New Degradation Mechanism is now available with the following characteristics:

Name: Mechanical Fatigue by Cyclic Loading

Abbreviation: MECHFATCYCL

Internal

Age-related

Parent: MECHANICHAL DEGRADATINO

The new Susceptibility to Failure (StF) is also created and is used to assess the new Degradation Mechanism.

Figure 53 StF for Mechanical Fatigue by Cyclic Loading

2.6 Confidence Assessment

IMSFB-13641

Previously, the Confidence Assessment gave a result even if the user did not answer all the questions. This is changed. The user must now provide answers to all the questions before a Confidence Assessment result is provided. When the user deletes one of the answers, the Confidence Assessment result will be removed.

This new behavior will only be applied to new assessments.

Figure 54 Confidence assessment

2.7 Inspection History - Approval status for the ECH/ Calc Summary

IMSFB-12542

In the Inspection History tab of the RBI screen, an “Approval Status” column has been added. The new column shows the status of the Condition History (ECH) and Corrosion Calculation Summary (Calc Summary).

Figure 55 Approval Status

2.8 Send Inspection History "Highlight" to the Corrosion Loop for CCD Report

IMSFB-10080

When creating the RBI inspection history, you can select the Highlight option to send highlighted information to the Corrosion Loop.

The Criticality Matrix table in the RBI is updated with new consequence descriptions, according to the latest Shell RAM.

Figure 57 Old consequence labels

Figure 58 New consequence labels

Changes are visible in the images above. The red boxes indicate the labels that have changed.

2.10 Environmental criticality survey improvement

IMSFB-12971

Under the environmental section of criticality, if the user selects the option "Nothing", it shows "-", but when the options have not been selected yet, the system will, from this version onwards, show an empty cell. This way it does not appear that the user accidentally skipped the section.

2.11 Small enhancements on the RBI screen

IMSFB-10057

IMSFB-10052

IMSFB-11091

The Criticality Assessment “Scenario” field can now accept a larger amount of characters. It was expanded from s maximum of 4000 characters to 2GB (2x1010).

The “Criticality” filter in the RBI main screen was previously labelled CR, which could have been confused with Corrosion Rate. Therefore, this filter is now labelled “Criticality”.

Figure 59 CR renamed to Criticality

For the “Stress Corrosion Cracking” calculators, the word “Bundle” is no longer part of the calculator name.

Figure 60 SCC Calculator

2.12 Clearing Tank Sub Component DM data

IMSFB-10235

The eraser is now available to clear data for a Degradation Mechanism.Figure 61 Available eraser to clear DM data

2.13 Bulk Change of DMs in RBI

IMSFB-9825

You can now bulk apply/change the Degradation Mechanism on multiple components at once. Before the bulk action, the system performs a validation check to check if the DM is applicable for all selected components. Only on a successful outcome will the action take place.

Figure 62 Bulk change of DMs on multiple components

2.14 Degradation Mechanisms shown in the RBI Assessment status bar

Information about the selected Degradation Mechanism is now shown in the status bar of the RBI Assessment. This will help when the user is using a small screen or working on a big grid selection.

IMSFB-13316

The RBI analysis status for any component with a NON-CORROSIVE damage mechanism, will always show Analysis completed, implemented.

Figure 64 NON-CORROSIVE Status

2.17 MII Lining

IMSFB-9908

The “MII Lining” column is now, by default, part of the Component main search grid and shows the worst MII Lining for that component.

Figure 65 MII Lining

2.18 Copy/Paste Functionality Includes Lining and Coating

IMSFB-9269

The Copy/Paste functionality on the RBI grid now also includes the Lining/Coating data. By default, the copy/paste functionality will not paste the Lining/Coating, like with the Remnant Life. The user must explicitly specify that he/she wants to paste that information too.

Figure 66 Specify if you want to paste the Lining/Coating data

2.19 RBI Quality Dashboard – Enhancements

IMSFB-13637

IMSFB-13237

IMSFB-13708

IMSFB-14717

The following changes are made to enable sites to move through the RBI quality statuses:

  1. Users can now select “none” for the IOW variable to get credit for the Corrosion Loop completeness, if IOW is not applicable for that Loop.
  2. The following list of SPECs must be filled in to get the Equipment to the 3rdstage of completeness:
    1. FLUID / PROCESS,
    2. OPERATING PRESSURE,
    3. OPERATING TEMPERATURE,
    4. SRBI-TOXIC CONCENTRATION,
    5. SRBI-TOXIC FLUID,
    6. SRBI-TOXIC NH

The SRBI-TOXIC FLUID now has a drop-down option from the CCAM Toxic Material.  If "None" is selected, TOXIC CONCENTRATION and TOXIC NH will get "N/A" when those values are empty.

  1. A new schedule driver, NON-CORROSIVE RBI, is now available for the non-corrosive RBI only.
  2. The Toxic questionnaire, which is part of the Detailed People questionnaire, will now only be part of the quality check if it has the final score.
  3. For SPM Polymers Monaca we made an exception: We added the IN-CONSTRUCTION equipment to the RBI Quality Dashboard.
  4. Toxic SPECs are now part of the Import template:
    1. SRBI-TOXIC CONCENTRATION
    2. SRBI-TOXIC FLUID

2.20 RBI Missing Completeness Dashboard

IMSFB-13312

On the RBI Dashboard, below the Data Quality Dashboard, you can now see the missing completeness dashboard. This dashboard will help identify the actions needed to bring equipment to a higher level of completeness.

  • Mechanism of Failure

To improve the usability of the Degradation Log, a range filter for the dates has been implemented.

Figure 69 Degradation Log

2.24 PLE Search Enhancement

Previously in the RBI Asset detailed survey, when the user wanted to add a PLE for applying the downtime cost, it wasn't easy to select the correct one between the list of all PLEs. Now the user chooses only between the PLEs from the current unit. If you want to apply PLE from a different Plant or Units, there is the Show all option, which will open the lightbox search with all the PLEs.

3. Equipment

3.1 Link between RV protecting equipment

IMSFB-12900

Previously there was no link between the RV and the equipment or piping it was protecting, which made inspection planning difficult. Users can use the EQUIP PROTECTED spec to establish the link between the RV and protected equipment, by clicking on the magnifier icon available for that spec.

Figure 71 Protected equipment

By default, the popup window will display a list of all scoped equipment on the RV unit. The user can use the search function, as well as change the hierarchy scope, to find the equipment. He can then use the checkboxes to select one or more equipment. When he clicks ok, the selected equipment will be added to the spec. An equipment, which is already part of the protected equipment, cannot be added again. This equipment’s checkbox will be disabled.

When pinning the RV, with protected equipment, from the equipment detail screen, the system will pin the RV, as well as all its protected equipment. Vice versa, when an equipment, which is part of the RV protected equipment, is pinned, IMS will also pin both equipment and RV.

For an RV move, the system will first check if there is a link to protected equipment and suggest to the user to remove the link. The user can decide if he wants to remove the link, at the time of the move. A similar notification will pop-up, for the user, when moving the protected equipment.

3.2 Use Legal registration number for Equipment search

IMSFB-11812

For several sites it is a requirement to store their equipment’s legal registration numbers. This number can be stored in the EQUIPMENT ID spec, under the qualifiers: NATL BOARD NO. or LEGAL REG NO. Irrespective of which qualifier is used, this information is now available in the Equipment main screen grid as an optional column.

Figure 73 Legal Registration Number

3.3 Additional Options for insulation material

IMSFB-13982

The following insulation materials are now available for the INSULATION MATL SPEC:

  • Asbestos
  • Cellular glass
  • Closed-Cell Foam
  • Expanded Perlite
  • Fiberglass
  • Mineral/Rock Wool (<10ppm Cl)
  • NA
  • Nano-fiber insulation
  • Regular Perlite

3.4 ABC Indicator as a filter for FLOC and Equipment

In Upstream and IG, as well as sites using SAP BLP, the ABS Indicator field specifies if the equipment is "Safety Critical Equipment" (SCE). Users often need to search for these FLOCs or Equipment. Now, the SPEC field is available in the FLOC and Equipment main search grids with the filtering option and the search functionality.

4. Attachments and Drawings

The IMS team is continuously improving the attachment functionality.

4.1 Work pack generation from the ISO drawing

IMSFB-13137

You can now select CMLs directly on the ISO drawing, by enabling the multi-select functionality. The selection can be used for Work pack generation.

4.3 Easier download and upload of attachments

IMSFB-13196

IMSFB-12916

IMSFB-11236

When uploading attachments, you can drop the documents anywhere in the attachment area. Also, you are no longer limited to an upload file size of 25MB. It is now possible to upload attachments up to 100MB.

You can now quickly download single attachment by simply selecting the download icon, directly on the attachment. The “Download All” option is available to download all the attachment at once into a ZIP file. In this case the individual attachments do not need to be selected.

4.4 Warning before discarding annotations on photos

IMSFB-12793

The DONE button was renamed to SAVE. Click this to save your annotation. When an annotation is not saved, and the back button is clicked, IMS will show a warning.

4.5 Quickly open attachments with double-click

IMSFB-13181

In addition to the other new features, attachments can now be opened with a double click on the attachment icon. Thus, it is no longer necessary to first select the attachment and then click on the open icon. However, this functionality also remains in place.

5. CML and Measurements

5.1 Circuit Summary report – enhancement

IMSFB-13327

The Circuit Summary report (R038) has been upgraded: It includes the required inspection method.

5.2 Search for CMLs when creating Measurement Sets

IMSFB-8284

For the sites with no clear CML optimization, CML search functionality is important when creating Measurement Sets. Therefore, it is now possible to search for CMLs, in the “Measurement Set” grid. The CML name can be used, in combination with Circuits and Sub-Circuits. For example: Search for “.A” to see all MSs called “A”, or search for “81.A” to see only those for Sub-Circuit “81”.

Figure 79 Search in the Measurement Set

5.3 Warning for the Remnant Life <= 0

IMSFB-13319

When the Remnant life of one or more CMLs/MPs is less or equal to zero, a warning will appear on the Calc Summary. A Calc summary with this warning should not be approved.

Figure 80 Warning for a RL<=0

6. Import enhancements

6.1 Import Template – Flag for Circuit-Component Inheritance Removal

IMSFB-13929

When there are multiple components to be deleted, and these components are inherited/linked to Circuits, the import template now has a flag to specify if the inheritance must be deleted.

Figure 81 The new “Delete Inheritance” field in the import template

6.2 Unit of Measure are now part of the import and export templates

IMSFB-13624

Previously, when the user created an excel sheet, with the export for import functionality, it was not clear what the Unit of Measure (UoM) was. Now, the UoM is part of the export for import.

Every exported column that has an UoM, will get the extension in the column name, in the export excel sheet. For example, if the user creates the export for import for a CML, the Renewal Thickness column will have the [mm] in the name, if the metric system is used, or [inch], if the imperial is used.

Additionally, the system will specify whether metric or imperial is being used, in the exported file names. For the CML example, when metric is used the file name will be: CML-export-for-import-Metrics-2020-May-29-1159.xlsx

The import rules are:

  • If the UoM is part of the column, that UoM will be pre-selected during the import process;
  • If the UoM is not part of the column, but there is a UoM system in the name of the import file, then the UoMs of that system will be pre-selected;
  • If there is no UoM and no information about the UoM system, the importer will pre-select the UoM from the current system, used by the user

6.5 Bulk Deferrals

IMSFB-13320

You can create deferrals in bulk, through the import template, i.e. extend multiple schedules. We have renamed and reordered columns in the template to align with the fields in the front end. The Leak Repair plan codes: TEMP REPAIR NUMBER and TEMP REPAIR TYPE are now also part of the Schedule import.

6.6 Bulk Temporary Leak Repairs

IMSFB-13320

You can now create Temporary Leak Repairs in bulk, through the import template.

Figure 86 Create Temp Leak Repairs in bulk

7. Other enhancements

7.1 Pinning at the Circuit level

IMSFB-13329

In previous versions, the pinning on the circuit functioned as such that it pinned its equipment, with all its child elements, including the circuit. This has changed and the pinning functionality on the circuit level now pins the circuit with its CMLs.

7.2 The “end of month” query criteria

To build more accurate reports, a new “end of month” query criteria has been added. The user can select one of the following "end of month" criteria:

  • end of this month
  • end of next month
  • end of next 2 months
  • end of next 3 months
  • end of next 6 months
  • end of next 12 months

The system will dynamically calculate the selected “end of month” date, based on the current date. For example, if today is May 15th, the values will be:

  • end of this month will be the May 31st
  • end of next month will be the June 30th
  • end of next 2 months will be the July 31st
  • etc.
Figure 87 End of month criteria

7.3 Attachments at the custom query

The “Description” section, for the custom query, did not enable users to store explanatory documents. Now, the new “Attachments” section is available for custom queries, so users can now upload any attachments that they need, to explain what their query does.

Only the owner of the query can add or remove attachments. For all other users, attachments will be available as read-only, when they run that query.

Figure 88 Attachments for the custom query

Before an attachment can be added, the user must first create and save the query. Then only can an attachment be added. It is not possible to add an attachment before the query has been saved.

7.4 Update of the training check boxes

IMSFB-13315

From this version onwards, the INSP ADMIN can (like the CSA) update the training checkboxes for the IMS users.

Figure 89 Training checks

7.5 w-PIMS references

IMSFB-13642

IMSFB-13851

Since the PLSS module is now part of IMS and all the w-PIMS users have been migrated to PLSS, the w-PIMS references are no longer part of IMS. Together with the w-PIMS references, we have also removed the w-PIMS Specs section in the Equipment Details page.

7.6 W-IMS/AIR nightly batch interface update

IMSFB-11853

The W-IMS/AIR nightly batch interface was updated so that, in the nightly batch, the images, which were already sent through with the new interface, are skipped.

7.7. New option to only select items on one page

IMSFB-13838

Previously, on the main search grids, when filtering on a criteria, the only possibility was to select all the items. However, to help with batch actions: It is now also possible to select only the items on the current page.

Figure 90 Select only the items on the current page.

7.8 Track of the Methodology Changes

Support now has an option in the IMS devtools to change the methodology. All the methodology changes will be, from this version, visible in the Event History in the form: E12023B availability was changed from [PEI, RCM] to [PEI, RCM, and FCM]. The action of changing the methodology is also captured in the revision.
