Version 2022.3.
IMS 2022 Q3 Realization
IMS PLSS:
“Schedule Descriptions” Import
See PLSS Release 2022.2 (Patch).
PLSS Spares Improvements
Several changes were made to the Spare Main Grid and Details windows.
New Column - Grid
A new column “Spare Equipment” was added to Spare Main Grid which displays all the Equipment pieces present on a Spare. This column can be expanded or shrunk as needed and will show more or less of the added Equipment pieces.

New Filter - Grid
A new filter, called “Spare Equipment”, was added in the Spare Main Screen grid. This filter enables users to filter the grid and list only the Spares for the selected Equipment. The filter opens to a dropdown menu, which can be further expanded with the expand button in the bottom. Here users can manually scroll through Equipment names, or search for them using the Search function in the top of the expanded filter section.

Bulk Selection - Details
On the Spares Details Page, a Bulk selection option was added - for deleting Equipment, as well as for adding Equipment, through a pop-up window. All Equipment can be bulk selected, and users can then bulk manipulate them.

System Status added to the Systems grid
The “System Status” column was added in the Systems Main Screen grid. This enables users to easily compare pipeline/riser equipment with the same status as their PLSS System. This is also reflected on the dashboards.

L/C Indicator removed from Equipment grid
The Leak and Closure column was removed from the Equipment Main Screen grid, as the indicator data is already shown in the ECH Main Screen grid.

“Schedule Approval Status” added to Schedule grids
The Schedule grids (on Schedules Main Screen and well as on other Details Pages) have been enhanced with the “Schedule Approval Status” column. A filter has also been added for the Schedule Approval Status.

IOW Main Screen and Details Page available in PLSS
The IOW Main Screen (and Details Page) is now also available in IMS PLSS. For more information see IOW Overview.

Soil-To-Air Inspection Location added
The Soil-To-Air Inspection Location was added in the Configuration per Hierarchy Type settings, as it is a common Inspection Location.

Min/Max distance added for Defect Profiles
For the Defect profile (WT and Scatter chart) Distance Start and End inputs were added, enabling users to filter out specific pipe sections and specify the graph Min and Max x-axis values.

RBA Improvements
Consequence Bulk Import
RBA Consequences can now be bulk imported.

The template includes the following fields: Equipment ID, SAP Equipment Nr., Section, Start at [m], Length [m], Int. Asset, Int. People, Int. Environmental, Int. Community, Int. Description, Ext. Asset, Ext. People, Ext. Environmental, Ext. Community, Ext. Description. Mandatory fields, i.e., those included in the data validation process for the bulk import, are marked in yellow.
Take Note: Bulk importing RBA Consequence will also trigger the RBA recalculation.
Criticality matrix - visual improvements
The RBA Criticality matrix was updated to not show the codes twice. Also, the unnecessary links were removed.

New “Interim pipeline regime (IPR)” Equipment Status
The “Interim pipeline regime (IPR)” is now available to select as Equipment Status.
Campaign Workpack Improvements
"Inspection Location Description" added to Campaign Workpack
When exporting a Workpack from the campaign Workpack Scope section, the export will now also include a column “Inspection Location Description” (linked to the dedicated Equipment). This is to help with the location explanation, and to help the inspectors complete their inspections without error.
When exporting a Workpack from the Campaign Workpack Scope section (as shown below), the export will now also include an index column.

This new column is a simple number sequence going up in increments of 1. Its purpose is to help differentiate between .xlsx rows that might otherwise look very similar.
FFS Improvements
New FFS Inspection Tool Types available
In the FFS module, the FFS Inspection now have four additional tools to select from. These include:
- ART (Acoustic resonance technique),
- Eddy Current,
- EMAT, and
- Other.
FFS now forms part of the ECH. When a new ECH is created, the FFS Inspection Details will be included, i.e., it is linked to the FFS Dynamic Form.

The ECH Details Page will show new sections:
- FFS inspection data, and
- Defects (for FFS Inspection data).

All functionality for Defects (adding / deleting / editing / export / import) was kept and is now available in the ECH. This functionality was removed from the legacy FFS Defects screen in Equipment.

The FFS column has also been removed from the Equipment Main Screen grid.

Instead, the Equipment Main Screen grid now have an FFS Status filter, and we filter for 3 FFS Statuses:
- “No ECHs” shows all Equipment that do not have ECHs with FFS inspection data
- “All ECHs approved” shows all the Equipment that have only Final Approved ECHs with FFS inspection data.
- “Not all ECHs approved” shows all Equipment that has ECHs with FFS inspection data, but not all their ECHs will be Final Approved.

“Mid point location” and “Coverage” replaced with “Coverage start distance” and “Coverage end distance”
In the FFS inspection details screen the fields “Mid point location” and “Coverage” were replaced with “Coverage start distance” and “Coverage end distance”. These fields show recalculated data based on the formulas:
- “Coverage start distance” : Mid point location - (Coverage/2)
- “Coverage End distance” : Mid point location + (Coverage/2)

Warning for FFS ECHs when not Final Approved
When an ECH is created through FSS, and if the ECH Approval Status is set to anything other than FINAL APPROVAL, a warning will be displayed in the “FFS Volumetric – Burst limit state” section to indicate that it will not affect the RBA calculation. This only applies to FFS ECHs.
The below indicated Assessments will show a warning due to the ECH Approval Status:

The warning shown is: “ECH in draft, hence not accounted for in Integrity Status (Approved RBA results):

Warning on RBA Approved Summary
Also a warning will be displayed in the “RBA Approved Summary” section on the Risk Based Assessment screen, when an ECH is created through FSS, and if the ECH Approval Status is set to anything other than FINAL APPROVAL.
The warning shown is: “Draft FFS inspection data will not be taken into account in the remaining life calculation!”

Custom Query “PL FFS Inspections” updated
Two new fields (“Coverage Start Distance” and “Coverage End Distance”) were added to the “PL FFS Inspections” Custom Query. It still includes the original fields as well.

ESDV Trending Graph, show max leak rates
The ESDV Trending Graph on PLSS Equipment now includes maximum leak rates for both mass and volume. These are depicted as two horizontal lines (in different colors). The values are defined in Specs, and are named LEAK RATE – MAX (MASS) and LEAK RATE (VOLUME).

Trending graph shows less data labels
Previously the PLSS Equipment trending graph’s x-axis showed too many date labels, which made the chart hard to read.

Now, the number of date labels on x-axis is limited to 45, making it easier to read.
