This online manual explains the IMS PLSS (Pipeline and Subsea Systems) product.
The IMS-PLSS module is designed to implement the Degradation Management work process. It focuses on optimizing Inspection, Assessment, and Corrective activities to manage Internal and External corrosion. This ensures the safety and reliability of pipeline systems, minimizing the risk of failure.
In general, IMS-PLSS identifies when and how to inspect Pipelines while maintaining a detailed audit trail of inspection results. The timing for Inspections, Assessments, Preventive and Corrective maintenance is determined through dedicated Schedules, which allow you to assess the integrity status of your pipelines. The results of these Inspections are captured in the Condition History, providing a thorough record of all relevant activities. You can easily check which Schedules are approaching their due dates, perform the necessary work, and document the findings in the Condition History. For recurring Schedules, the system automatically generates a new Schedule with an updated due date.
Focusing on Carbon steel, Pipeline, Flowline, and Pipeline Jumper, IMS PLSS enables the application of data obtained during ILI runs through Fitness for Service, Internal and External Corrosion and Risk-Based Assessments to evaluate Equipment Remnant Life and determine the Next Inspection Date (NID) depending on your Assessment Strategy.
