Release 2023.3
Note: These Release Notes only cover specific SIS enhancements. All other enhancements, not related to specific disciplines, are described in the IMS Planform (General) Release Notes.
Schedule and ECH Improvements
Schedules and ECHs are now aligned across Disciplines. For this the SIS Schedules and ECHs were updated.
Aligning SIS Schedules and ECHs with Schedules and ECH across Discipline
The SIS Schedules and ECHs have been moved to a One Schedule and ECH layout, to closely match the existing PEI layout, which dynamically changes based on the Discipline, e.g., to avoid showing NIDs in SIS Schedules.
- The SIS have both the ECH and Schedules Main Screens and the grids are aligned with those in PEI, except for some minor adjustments. The grids show all ECHs / Schedules (PEI, RCM, CIVIL, PLSS, TAT, FMA) from Equipment that are visible in SIS.
- The SIS Schedule and ECH Details Pages have also been aligned with the PEI/RCM Details Pages, with some minor adjustments. For this reason:
- The sections Related Assessment and Tests Scope in SIS Schedules have been renamed: Tasks on FLOC / Equipment and Scope of schedule.
- A Recurrence History section is now available for recurring Schedules.

- When Schedules and ECHs are created from SIS, the relevant Schedules Types and Schedule Drivers will be available.
- The "Instrumentation" Discipline is owned by SIS.
- In SIS Schedules and ECHs can be created on either FLOC or Equipment level.

SIS Admin Role Updated
The SIS Admin Role was updated with regards to Schedules and ECHs.
HAZOP with Risk Ranking after Safeguard
A second HAZOP template, called Residual Risk, has been added in IMS SIS. This template has replaced the Severity column with a Risk Column. The Risk is determined from the selected Likelihood and Severity: R=L*S. The selected Likelihood and Severity is displayed in the new L and S columns. Users can also enter a L w/SG (Likelihood with Safeguard). From this the R w/SG (Risk with Safeguard) is determined: R w/SG = L w/SG *S. Also, the ALARP columns has been replaced with a Comments column.

An Application Setting can be used to switch between the Residual Risk HAZOP template and the default template.
SRS Report
IEC 61511 clause 10 outlines the Safety Requirements Specification (SRS) for a given Safety Instrumented System (SIS). To comply with this IEC standard, it is a best practice to provide an SRS Report to the SIF Designer. This SRS Report can now be generated for all the Main Screens as well as from the Details Pages. Note: An error messages will be displayed if more than one Unit is selected.

The SRS Report consists of two parts:
- General SIS Requirements.
- Specific SIS Requirements.
The General SIS sections of the SRS report are initially left blank when exported from IMS and should then be manually filled in by project team members outside of IMS. The SIF-specific data is automatically filled by IMS SIS before being exporting from the system.
